Scanner & Printer X3470

I downloaded the update w/drivers. Have them on my PC. Don't know how to get them to operate. Microsoft gives me a sign saying driver not installed and No comunication to the printer. Thanks, [email protected]

    Bunny dog, Little more complicated. Down loaded as you said. not working.

    Two messages: From Microsoft Visual C++Runtime library.

    Program:C:/Program Files/Lexmark 3400 Series/excyalox.exe

    This application has requested the run time to terminatein an unusual way. CONTACT SUPPORT TEAM.

    SECOND: EZ printer says printer out of memory.

    Thank God! & you and Bow Dawg. Couldn't go back to an earlier date. PC wouldn't allow. Dumped old program and went back to Bow Daug's earliest solution. Started down load again and Driver Detective jumped in and helped. Finnaly success.

    I got the thing to work but about the 8th copy sign came up out of ink. went to WalMart and got a #1 refill cartrudge. Installed it only to have a sign come up on printer saying cartridge incorrect. Needless to say (How fix) Thanks, Uncle Jim

Make sure correct drivers acoording to your operation system are installed. Uninstall re-install and try again.

Step one: Restart the computer

  1. Click Start .
  2. Click Shut Down .
  3. Click Restart or select Restart from the drop-down menu, if available.
  4. Click OK .
  5. Check the print queue, once the machine is restarted. If this step does not resolve the issue, continue to the next step.
Step two: Check the printer cable
  1. Disconnect the USB cable from the printer.
  2. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
  3. Leave the cable unplugged for 5-6 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the cable to the printer and computer. Ensure that the printer is connected directly to the computer through a USB cable or a powered USB hub.
  5. After reconnecting, the printer should start printing the jobs in queue. Go to step five, if you want to stop those jobs from printing. If this step does not resolve the issue, continue to the next step.
Step three: Check for the right driver and port If there is more than one printer configured on the same computer, the printer in use may not be the default printer, or the wrong driver may have been configured. Use these steps to verify the driver configuration:
  1. Click Start .
  2. Click Settings .
  3. Click Printers or Printers and Faxes .
  4. Ensure that the correct printer is set to default, denoted by a checkmark in a black circle on the icon. If the wrong printer is set to default, right-click the icon for the correct printer, and then click Set as Default .
  5. If the printer is already set to default, right-click the icon, and then click Properties .
  6. To verify that the printer is using the correct port and driver, click the Details tab. The printer should be set to use a DOT4 or the USB00X (where X is replaced by a number) port. The Print using the following driver drop-down list shows the printer driver in use.
  7. Click OK to close the Printer properties window, and then close the Printers window. If this step does not resolve the issue, continue to the next step.
Step four: Check whether the printer is paused or offline
  1. Open the Printers folder.
  2. Right-click the icon of the printer in use, and then click Open .
  3. Click Printer on the menu, and then ensure that there are no checkmarks next to Pause Printing or Use Printer Offline . If a checkmark is present on either, click the menu option to remove it. If the menu shows Use Printer Online , click that option.
  4. If neither Pause Printing nor Use Printer Offline are checked, press Esc to leave the menu without making changes. Hope this help you;

    If you have printer disk it is even easier to install printer driver software from disk.
    It is important that your printer USB cable is unplugged when you start driver installation, or you can get error messages afterward.

    If you have the printer disk just put it inside and run software again with printer unplugged.

    If printer was working before try doing a system restore instead, here is the how to:

    System restore it is often the first tool to solve problems on your computer.
    Each
    time you do an update, or install a new software, system settings will
    be modified, sometimes this can cause Windows operative system
    malfunctions.
    System restore to a date before you had the problem can repair most Windows faults.
    Here is the how to:

    Before starting System restore close all this running applications.

    You can start System restore from start menu:





    1.

    Click Start.


    2.

    Point to All Programs.


    3.

    Point to Accessories.


    4.

    Point to System Tools.


    5.

    Click System Restore.


    6.

    Follow the instructions on the wizard.




    You can also start system restore to create a restore point before making an important change to the system.
    For example you can decide to create a restore point before installing a new anti virus, or downloading Internet Explorer update.

I have a Lexmark X3470 printer. I have recently bought a new computer and when I insert the sim card from my camera the following message comes up. Cannot find 'File:///C: Windows/system 32/spool/

You didn't install d drivers properly. Do it over and
you'll see the difference. It says that because its looking for the root folder for the printer but since its not installed properly it can't find the folder.

Don't have a disk

Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark X3470 printer driver on your computer. Select your operating system versison > click on FILTER > click on the driver under Recommended Downloads > download and execute the file. Simply follow the instructions on your computer screen to successfully install the printer.
Note: The Lexmark X3470 printer works on Windows operating system only.

I have a mac 5 and i want to download the software to intall it to my computer my printer is a lexmark x3470

Are you saying you have a Mac running OSx 5.0 Leopard and you want to install the software for a Lexmark x3470 printer? If so, I do not think this printer is compatible with Mac OSx 5.0 Leopard, but you can give this driver a try.

This very cheap printer seems to have made a lot of people want to take a baseball bat to it with its 'cover open' error, paper jams and other problems. Not only that, the ink cartridges are relatively expensive and run out quickly. I guess the idea is to make and sell the printer as cheaply as possible and make a profit on the ink cartridge sales.
The bottom line on the Lexmark X3470 Multifunction Printer is that this bargain printer is no bargain. Even if you paid about $20-25 for it it wouldn't be good deal. I'd go as far to say that if you got this printer for free with the purchase of a laptop or desktop that you should sell it and buy yourself a decent printer.

Can't scan from my x3470 to my pc

I personally think it is a software issue, in the form of the utility download or a driver that is missing. So the link for the software is listed below.

This is assuming you have Windows XP as your operating system. If not, then you might need to download the driver direct from lexmark.

I need the software disk or a download site for installing a LexMark Z611 on a new computer.

This is what I did to find the driver necessary to install your printer to a new computer:

1: Visit Lexmark's Driver Download Site.
2: In the section that reads, "Download by Product" type in: Z611
3: Click the image/link of your printer (might take a moment to appear above the text-area).
4: Scroll down and find the appropriate driver that corresponds to your Operating System (If you have Windows XP, download the driver for XP. If you have Windows Vista, download the driver for Vista).

If the method above does not work for you, Microsoft has been getting better at locating drivers for you through Microsoft Update. If you're running Windows XP, go to the regular Windows Update page and look for links for Microsoft Update (By default, Microsoft Update is not used for Windows XP. You have to request it through Windows Update). After "signing" an agreement and installing a few more files Microsoft Update will look for updates to your system. Once the results are displayed look into the "Hardware" section. If you find anything in regards to a printer, chances are Microsoft found a compatible driver they know will work for your printer. Remember, before Microsoft Update can locate drivers for your printer it has to be connected to the computer and turned on.

If you're using Vista (W7 is just an enhanced version of Vista, yet Vista nonetheless), just go to your Start Menu and search for Microsoft Update -or- Windows Update. Afterward check for new updates and do the same as mentioned above. Look into the hardware section to see if there are any entries for a printer. If there are, select the update and install it. Remember, before Windows / Microsoft Update can find drivers for your printer it needs to be connected to the computer and turned on.

Personally I would use the drivers from Lexmark, yet I figured I would give you two choices. Let us know how things turn out.
