Question about Palm Zire 72 Handheld
Why is this "notes" folder created? Where is it pulling this information from? Does anyone else have this folder?
SOURCE: Corrupt Date Book Fixed
Updated Instructions Simple fix for a corrupted Date Book sync error (at least it worked for me on my Treo 650). 1). Turn off 'Show Calendar Event' in the Phones 'Options - General Preferences' menu. 2). Turn off phone. 3). Set the Date/Time to the maximum limits (12/31/31) in Preferences. 4). Open the Calendar and view the maximum day 12/31/31. 5). Select 'Purge - (Delete events older then 1 week)' in the Calendars Options menu. 6). Reset the Date/Time to the current day in Preferences. 7). Hotsync (Desktop Calendar overwrites handheld). 8). Hotsync again to make sure you don’t get the error (Synchronize the files). That’s it. =============================== Outlook Calendar The attempt to open the database failed. Date Book application database is not found. Please invoke the Date Book application on the handheld once and re-synchronize. Click on the hotsync icon in your system tray and then click "custom". That will bring up the list of things you are configured to sync with (conduits). For each of the ones you have problems with, click that conduit and then make sure it's set to sync the way you want...desktop overrides, handheld overrides, syncronize, etc. Potentially you have some of them selected as "do nothing". What shows up when I click custom from hotsync are the following Outlook Conduits: Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Memos. If you don't have those showing up, you need to update your Outlook conduits on your PC. If you have them, click to select the problem conduit, then click "change" and select what you want to have happen.

SOURCE: outlook not synching
I had the same issue. It has something to do with Intelisync wireless sync - it's incompatible with outlook syncronization (and even the palm desktop syncronization). I used Intelisync wireless sync and then when I tried to sync at home, I got the same error messages. I resolved this problem by deleting Intelisync wireless sync from my Treo 650 applications (there were two entries), and hotsync'd again - and it worked - except it duplicated all my contact entries, but not my calendar entries. Who'd have thunk? At any rate, I don't have Intelisync wireless sync on my Treo 650 anymore, but at least outlook data now syncronizes. Poor showing Verizon, Palm, and Intelisync!

if using verizon go into the wireless sync application and select settings> connection> advanced settings> and select enable other sync apps.

SOURCE: Sync fails with "too many open databases"
This is what I did to fix that error:
Hard-reset your Palm to erase all data (that usually involves pushing the small "reset" button on the back, then pressing the "power on" button until the device boots, and then pressing "up" to confirm the hard-reset)
After that, sync your palm. The sync software will ask if you want to use your existing profile or create a new one. Create a new one. Then the program will offer to sync your Outlook profile with your Palm. Click on "ok", and a message asking you to accept to sync your Outlook data with more than one profile will pop-up. Click on OK, again... and that's it!
