The element kit is Part # 9907079003. So first try Masterbuilt 1.800.489.1581, as they use this same element in a couple of different models. My primary source for grill & smoker parts, Appliance Factory Parts, says it's no longer available. So Masterbuilt may be your only source. But, to be very candid, that's iffy, at best. Masterbuilt is not known for having critical parts for their smokers.

I hope this wa of some help to you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

yes but just because there's no heat doesn't mean it's the element?you have to read it out with a meter or you'll be replacing parts that are good, next time send the model number off of the machine, open the door, look around the opening where you put the clothes in and you should see the model and serial numbers just send the model number.if one of the t-stats are bad this could cause no heat

My kenmore elite elecctric dryer is running but I get no heat

The most likely cause, is a burned out heating element. Sears has the replacement pparts. You will need the model and serial numbers. The replacement is relatively easy. Disconnect the power and then from the back, take out the screws that hold the element housing in place. Depending on the model, you will also have to pop the top to get the unit out.

Dryer runs but wont heat

There are 2 possibilities for this problem.
1. The limit switch is out. The limit switch is located on the heating element on the back of the dryer. This is a small button type part. it will have 2 prongs on it for 2 wires that slide on for power.
2. The heating element is out. This will be on the back of the dryer and depending the model it should be a long metal piece that has metal elements inside of it to heat the dryer. or it could be a large round unit. these can be tested with an om meter.

The limit switch will be the cheapest to start with on replacing.
If you need further assistance please do not hesitate to ask. I will need the make, model, and the serial number of the unit to help you further. the model and serial number can be found by opening the dryer door and looking by the hings. there should be a sticker with this information on it.

If you are buying the element and installing it yourself they are not that expensive. But you have to make sure you have a solid conection to the wires that come with it. Make sure you use a good crimping tool. Check the your electrical cord itself as it might have overheated and damaged its ground wire. Those can be bought at WalMart. All your conections must be TIGHT.

The oven will not heat at any temperature setting.

Check wires to heating element. they sometimes break right where they connect to the element. EASY repair, just replace with new HIGH TEMP connector. Or your element has gone bad. Look on element first, for what looks like bubbles, or breakage. Have model and serial # ready when you order or have it repaired, you will need them both. Voltage too.
If oven heats on broil, that is the

Substitute heating element

Go to the local appliance repair parts store- they will have generic replacement elements and will likely be able to get you a right one for your dryer.
You should know if possible two things: model/serial number for your unit and length of the heating coil. (perhaps you've already taken it out)
