SOURCE: Dell All in One 922 Won't scan

download R151371 from e.g. http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R151371&SystemID=PRN_ALL_A922&servicetag=&os=WLH&osl=en&deviceid=6785&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=1&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=40&fileid=201464 Unzip it then find the folder containing it. Doubleclick on the "setup" file... don't give it up yet...Inside the folder Apps you'll find another "setup" file, doubleclick on it as well...That will install for you the "All-In-One Center"...
Fingers crossed...
It worked for me...(but I was wandering why couldn't they make it more user-friendly?)

SOURCE: Dell 810 will not scan

I was able to get it to scan using the camera and scanner wizard through control panel, printer and faxes. On the left chose scanners and cameras in "other places" then when you see the dell printer click it and it will start the wizard. Make a shortcut to it to use again easily. I have given up trying to fix it!

Need to connect HP 6480 printer to wireless computer

The printer needs to be setup on the network. Either wired or wireless, same principle applies. You have to install the drivers for the printer on your computer and scan or add the printer. It will show up as an IP or Device name.

I have just purchased a Dell laptop with Windows 7 home premium installed. I have a Cannon PIXMA MP495 printer, what do I need to do to operate thist printer wirelessly?

If you have a wireless router with a wireless network then -

Configure the IP address your wireless printer, (this is done through the printer's menu settings) make sure it matches the IP address range on your wireless network, it maybe 192.168.1.*** then configure the wireless printer with a fixed IP address with the same IP address range but at a higher address eg. 192.168.1.10 so it does not clash with any other IP addresses.
Next install the printer driver normally.
Then configure the printer Properties.
Click Start - Printers and faxes - right click on the your printer - click Properties - Port tab - click Add Port - Standard TCP/IP port -
Port Name eg. 192.168.1.10
Printer name eg Network printer
Click OK
Then do a TEST print if it does not work then the IP address is probably incorrect.

All functions work on my 1600n printer with the exception of the scanner. The workstation names that normally appear when a doc is scanned do not appear

The Dell 1600n requires that the Dell Network Scan Manager is running. Windows Vista and Windows 7 require user level authorization for this app to run properly and may be prompting you at start up. If you are telling it "no" when propmted then this is one thing that can be hanging you up. It is also possible the app is simply not running at all. Go to start>programs>Dell>Network Scan and see if it picks it up then. This app is how the dell printer itself gets the names to put in the list of available workstations to scan to.

How can I set-up my Lexmark printer wirelessly? I seem to have loss my manual. Help!!!!

Wireless networking your printer or scanner may sound difficult, but newer machines are making it easier to do.

The first step is to get your home wireless network configured properly. Bradley Mitchell, the About.com Guide to Computer Networking, has a fantastic and easy-to-follow primer on networking that's a great place to start.

Microsoft also offers a handy tutorial on wireless-networking basics that will help if you're using Windows. If you're using Vista and running into problems, troubleshooting guide will help.

If you're using Windows 7 and want to share a printer on a home network, follow the links at How to Share a Printer on a Home Network with Windows 7.

Next, learn more about the basics of wireless printing with a primer from Etan Horowitz of the Orlando Sentinel.

If you're trying to use a scanner that doesn't have a network card, you can find some useful software from Remote Scan.

HP officejet 6500A plus wireless printer seems to work fine for printing over the network but scanning seems to disconnect part way through a scan. Im using Windows 7 with Norton Security Suite on all...

You need to choose compatible driver in Windows 7. First, you have to click the 'Start' button and select and 'All Programs'. Then, go to 'Accessories' and select 'System Tools' and then click 'System Information'. Then, you have to select the 'System Summary' and then review the OS Name and System type to find out which version of operating system you are running. Then, accordingly choose the network printer driver for your computer.

How do I install my Dell P703w wireless printer on my network without the installation disk

For installing a wireless printer on Windows XP, wireless router is an essential device. Follow the recommended steps mentioned on the installation CD of the router, and set-up a wireless network. Since several computers or laptops will access the printer, it is recommended to connect the wireless printer to the main computer through the USB port. To begin the installation process on Windows XP, access the network setting in the Control Panel, and activate the file and printer sharing option in the LAN setting. This will allow the operating system to recognize the availability of a wireless printer. Now, click the Start button, go to Devices and Printers, select Add a Printer option. Click the second option- Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer. The computer will search for available printer and reflect it on the screen. Click Finish; and the printer is ready to begin the printing process.

I loaded Windows 7 on my hp laptop and have lost the wireless connection between the laptop and wireless Dell printer.

If this is a new installation of Windows 7 and you have never used the printer on this installation, you will need to install the printer from scratch. If you have the installation disc that came with the printer, pop that into your computer and follow the installation steps. If you do not have that disc, you can look up your specific printer model and download the driver to your computer. Then use the Add Printer Wizard in Windows 7 to search for printers, and if yours is powered on (and both the computer and the printer are connected to your network) it should see it, and then tell it where you saved the driver.

I own a Dell V305w and have it wirelessly connected to my dell inspiron windows 7 pc. Prior to installing windows7 it worked beautifully right after I installed windows 7... NOTHING... I've updated...

If it is connected wirelessly, the computer needs to see it as a network printer. If it sees it as a local printer, it will not be able to print.

In addition to your print queue, make sure the Spooler service is running.
