Question about Lands Phones

I have a cordless phone Philips CD 440. I cannot turn off the red flashing light after having heard and erased a voice mail. I need step bystep instructions on how to turn off the voice mail indicator light.

The voice mail indicator light wont go off after using voicemail.

When I'm on the phone and someone is calling me the same time, I get a msg on the display "new voice mail' but there is no msg on the Base. The blue light is flashing on the handsets and I can't turn it off. What to do?? I have the Model 28112 series.

My vtech junk 5.8 phone (2 handset model) does the same thing.

It is the responsibility of the telephone company to shut off the voice mail signal. They have been notified and will fix the problem.

It is voice mail and some time you checked voice mail on your cordless phone but light will keep flashing that you need to check your voice mail. if it does not fixed then You need to also delete the voice mail from any voip device and it should turn off blinking lights and will clear vm message.

First thing to try is to pick up handset or place on speaker. On the answer machine itself without trying to call your cable providers voice mail service...press the message button to ensure all messages have been heard or erased.
Second, unplug your phone power from the wall and wait two minutes before powering on the phone.
Last replace batteries in the phone if you have batteries in the phone now...may be low battery signal.

After you heard the message (suggest you to call your phone company to get your voicemail access code if you don't know your code), then press the "menu" button on the phone, and scroll down to find the "CLR VOICE MAIL" and press OK.

most phones these days come with both voice mail and answer machine if you have both then you probably need to listed to your answer machine and then call your own number and listen to your voice mail that might possibly be the problem ?

Good luck. If you follow all of the above instructions and the red light keeps blinking, that's just the way it is. And that's according to the Philips tech support team. Especially if it's in relation to voice mail icon. The phone appears to think you have a voice mail message even if you've checked it and deleted them all or have no voice mail service whatsoever. So you may be stuck with the blinking red light forever.

how do i get this message
what number do i use to set up voice mail since i do not subscribe to voice mail? When i activate voice mail i get the operator

New Voice Mail flashing light

What worked for me was to call my phone from another phone and leave myself a voicemail. I then went in and retrieved and deleted that voicemail. Once I hung up from my voicemail service my handsets reset about 10 seconds later.

Now to fix your GE phone:

Push the program key. Select Handset Setup Push the program key Select Default Settings Push the program key Select 1 Yes. Push the program key

call your phone service and have them disconnect the voice mail and if they cant just remove that have them set there rings at like 9 since most phones only have up to 5 rings for the machine to answer.you will have to use there voice mail service to hear your message and then delete it but should be good after that. i have comcast and they said it would take 3 days to deactivate voice mail but told me how to get there so i can get rid of that flashing light, hope this helps you

Voice mail

Do your Dial tone sound different. Your phone listens to the dial tone. if you have a new voice mail your dial tone changes.and your phone does the flashy thing accordingly. Contact your phone company.
