Delete calendar Hi people, is there any simple way to delete my whole calendar database on my iPaq? Cause of an sync error I have over 700 records in my calendar, double and triple. I won't make a hard reset to factory defaults, because the other databases are OK. Where can I find the calendar file and can I delete it. Thanks for helping.

Open Active sync on your PC. Double Click on Calendar. Change the settings such that it syncs only 0 past and 0 future appointments. SYNC (this will clear all calendar items on the IPAQ) Don't forget to change these settings back.

Bb calendar sync

You may need to clear out the calendar database first on the BlackBerry device, and then try to synch again. Do the following:

1. Connect your BlackBerry via USB.
2. Open Desktop Manager and go to the Backup and Restore option.
3. Select Advanced.
4. The Desktop Manager will show the device databases on the right-hand side.
5. Scroll down and highlight the entry that says Calendar, then click on the Clear button.

Once Desktop Manager has cleared the calendar database try to sync again.

Sync problem with Outlook Public calendar

Hi Brad,

By default, it won't sync the company shared calendar. This is in fact very hard to do. You will need to speak the guys in your IT department about a product to sync your calendar with the company one. If you use Exchange server, then you may wish to look towards a product such as 'SlipStick'...

Won't sync from iPAQ to PC

Sounds like you've got the ActiveSync setting for the Calendar set to one-way from computer to PDA, not Synchronise, which means the computer will always over-write anything it finds on the PDA that isn't in the computer. Try uninstalling/reinstalling ActiveSync, and pay particular attention to all the settings when you reconnect the PDA and it sets up the connection - from memory at this point you can define the "direction" of synchronisation.

Outlook

Check the setting on the ipaq, go to ActiveSync and tools, options, server and make sure calendar, contacts and inbox are not selected here. Then, put the pda in its cradle and let it do a sync, it should change the settings on the desktop and the (sync status on device) should disappear. I had a similar problem and after de-selecting these, everything worked fine.

Original sync worked all others failed with 650 and Outlook 2003

I was ready to give up completely. Uninstalled, reinstalled, nothing worked. Here is what I did to resolve sync errors: 1. Perform a hard reset on the Palm 2. Go to the Palmone folder on your hard drive (C:\Program Files|PalmOne. Look for the Backup folder. Rename this folder Backup Old. 3. Connect the Treo to your computer. 4. Right click the Hotsync icon in the taskbar and click Custom. Change the four Outlook conduits (Calendar, Contacts,Tasks,Memos) to Desktop overwrites Handheld. 5. Run a Hotsync with the Treo. It should sync without errors. If you need to install additional applications you can add them now. This worked for me. I hope it helps with your errors.

SYNC (this will clear all calendar items on the IPAQ) Now go back in to those Calendar settings, and set it back to the default which is 2 past weeks and All Future appointments. SYNC (this will now reload all appointments into your Ipaq)

Corrupt Date Book Fixed

Updated Instructions Simple fix for a corrupted Date Book sync error (at least it worked for me on my Treo 650). 1). Turn off 'Show Calendar Event' in the Phones 'Options - General Preferences' menu. 2). Turn off phone. 3). Set the Date/Time to the maximum limits (12/31/31) in Preferences. 4). Open the Calendar and view the maximum day 12/31/31. 5). Select 'Purge - (Delete events older then 1 week)' in the Calendars Options menu. 6). Reset the Date/Time to the current day in Preferences. 7). Hotsync (Desktop Calendar overwrites handheld). 8). Hotsync again to make sure you don’t get the error (Synchronize the files).
