No, an install of OUTLOOK over OUTLOOK data will NOT lose the data. However... you may want to backup the files first ?? What version of OUTLOOK are you currently running ? If it's already 2002, I might be tempted to ignore this message.

The application configurations incorrect

Title: Office installation
Step 1: Insert the Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise CD. If the Setup Wizard does not automatically begin, then click Start > Run > D:\setup.exe
Step 2: Enter the Product Key from the back of the CD jacket. Note: This is a unique code. Please keep in a safe place! Click Continue.
Step 3: Check the box "I accept the terms of this agreement" and click the Continue button.

Step 4: Choose an installation option, Upgrade (removes Office 2003) or Customize (keeps Office 2003 installed and adds Office 2007, allowing you to use them both).
Note: Outlook 2003 will be uninstalled in either option. Outlook will be updated and your user settings and mail will migrate to the new version.

If you click Upgrade, go on to Step 5.

If you click Customize, go on to Step 4a.
Step 4a: Click the radio button for "Keep all previous versions."

Click the Installation Options tab, left-click the first drop down box and click Run all from My Computer

It's not a web address, its a file location. It's asking you where you want to install it, is it not? I haven't done an install of Office2007 in a while but that does sound right to me. Just click Continue or Next.

Hi,
To resolve this behavior, either upgrade to the most recent version of Outlook Express and Internet Explorer, or install the version of Outlook Express that matches the version of Internet Explorer that is installed on your computer. Upgrade to the Most Recent Version
  1. Start Internet Explorer, and then download the latest version of Internet Explorer from the following Microsoft Web site: www.microsoft.com/downloads
  2. Follow the download instructions.
  3. Restart the computer after the installation.
Install the Version of Outlook Express That Matches Your Version of Internet ExplorerImportant This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 322756 How to back up and restore the registry in Windows
  1. Use the Add/Remove Programs utility in Control Panel to remove the existing version of Outlook Express.
  2. Delete the contents of the C:\Program Files\Outlook Express folder, but do not delete the folder itself. Follow these steps:
    1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and then clickWindows Explorer.
    2. In the Folders pane, click the plus sign (+) to expand the My Computer folder, and then expand the Local Disk (C:) folder.
    3. Expand the Program Files folder, and then expand the Outlook Expressfolder.
    4. Select all of the files in the Outlook Express folder, and then click Delete.
  3. Use Registry Editor to delete two registry keys:
    1. Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe).
    2. Locate the following two registry keys: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Outlook Express HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Outlook Express
    3. For each of the two keys, click the key, click Delete on the Edit menu, and then click Yes.
    4. Quit Registry Editor.
  4. To reinstall Outlook Express, use the Internet Explorer Add a component option in the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel.

Sony Ericsson syncing problem

Hi I have some experience with this problem and found two solutions:

One is to always keep phone software version and sync software version matched. If you didnt upgrade phone version you should stick with the sync application in your original CD!
If you upgraded to the latest phone version please use the latest sync version that was available at that time! Or, even better, ask the person who upgraded your phone to recommend the best sync version.

Two is to always exit all running applications before starting to sync since some files may be marked as "in use" and the backup process will not be completed. How to do that? goto Task Manager -> Open -> More -> End All and press the back button.

Other solutions I got from an SE technician:
Remove sync software before upgrading or reinstalling it.
Try to install on a different PC.
Format the Memory Card (AFTER YOU BACK IT UP!)
Install Outlook and only then the sync app.

Hope this will help you, if not please

Synchronising with Outlook 2007

Older versions of ActiveSync do not work with Outlook 2007. You'll need to download ActiveSync 4.5 here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/activesync/activesync45.mspx

It should work fine once you get the newest version.

Outlook 2002 Reinstallation

The default e-mail client on pocketPC 2003 is the "inbox" which is merly a utility for retreiving & sending e-mail. There is no "outlook 2002" on pocket PC's. The Outlook 2002 installation cd comes with most iPaqs and is intended for your pc, not your ipaq.
