As far as why it's stopping it could be several things; there could be a problem with the track itself being corrupted or, depending on where you got the tracks, they could be protected with Digital Rights Management. The memory in the player could also be corrupt as well. I would start with reformatting the memory in the player to correct any potential corruption there might be. Below are three links that will answer both of your questions. Always make sure you properly disconnect the player from your computer to reduce the risk of corrupting the memory and causing these types of problems.

How to Put Songs on Disney Mix Max

The Disney Mix Max portable media player is capable of playing audio files in the MP3 format. It can also play videos formatted as WMV and display photos formatted as JPEG. You can convert audio files into MP3 using the Disney Mix Max software -- Mix It Plug-in. The plug-in works with Windows Media Player 10. This software CD came with the player and is not available online. To download music to the device, you can use Windows Media Player 10 or Windows.

Things You'll Need:

* USB cable

You might want to delete it all off of ther and start over. Mine did that and it said the files were corrupted. I think it happnes after a while with the mix max. I don't know what else you can do. I know you have to plug it in, and go to "open folder to veiw files" you can delete them one by one from there.

Shuffle mix max

That's not actually how you delete songs from the player. When you connect it to your computer you will see a new removable disk called Mix Max in your My Computer icon or in Computer if you have Vista. Open up that Mix Max icon and then you can highlight and delete only the songs you don't want or all of them.

Error free 4mb of space to build music library and disney mix max won't play any songs?

The memory may be corrupt and it can't read the music files correctly. Open your My Computer icon and plug the player into your computer. You should see a new removable disk called Mix Max appear. Right click on the disk and choose Format from the pop up menu. At the Format window make sure that the File System is set to FAT32 and click Start. At the next window click OK to proceed. You'll then need to add the songs back to your player but it should correct the problem. When adding the songs to the player again make sure that you leave at least 4 megabytes of space available so it can create the library file.
