My air conditioner worked fine last night, but when I tried to turn it on today in the 101 heat, it displayed E1 (blinking). I've unplugged it because it would not let me turn it off either.

If your air conditioner displays E1 in the display panel and won't turn on, it means that the Room Thermistor (a device connected to the thermostat that detects room temperature) is shorted or defective, and you need to have your air conditioner serviced

I have just moved in to a flat with a vent axia storage heater. I switched it on last night and although the output in off it is still heating up the room today. Is that normal? thanks Heather

Yes, Heather, it's working correctly. It lives up to it's name "storage heater". When you turned it on last night, it heated and at the same time it was storing heat to be used later, during peak electrical use hours, without having to use any electricity. It's working as it should.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

E1 error code on air conditioner

I called haier about this error code. E1 indicates that a button on the control panel or the reomote is stuck. I was instructed to unplug the unit and push each button at least 5 times, one at a time. Plug the unit back in, and this fixed my problem with error E1 and the unit works fine.

My electronic panel will not work at all.

This is not the most technical of solutions, but I had this exact same problem last night and I unplugged the air conditioner and left it that way overnight and this morning it had reset and was working again. I had tried everything I could think of to get it to work prior to just letting it be overnight. Hope this works for you, as well.
