Screen alignment - keeps drifting

Hello, I don't read many problems associated with the 2750 which is good from my point of view but...over a period of three or four days, the screen alignment drifts off on my IPAQ. Instead of getting a 'w', I get a 'q' and so on - tapping one letter pushes down another. Running the screen alignment utility brings it all back on track but this is something which I never had to do with my old 3870 and don't think I should have to be doing it with my new 2750. Is this likely to be a hardware problem?

Should my car show an indicator light of the need for alignment on my dashboard

There is no sensor system that will indicate that the vehicle is out of alignment. There may be periodic reminder indications of periodic maintenance recommendations based on mileage, however. The best indications of misalignment are uneven tire wear, and indications that the vehicle is pulling to one side or another. Be advised, however, that a slight drift toward the outside of the road is normal as most roads are slightly crowned to accommodate water runoff.

Raymarine smartpilot x-5. The fluxgate compass is some 45 - 60 degrees out from the boat compass. I have tried to recalibrate but this does not solve the problem. Any ideas?

First of all - is the boat compass correct? How does it align with COG? Secondly, do you have a magnetic field that interfere with the fluxgate? To test for this you can use the compass on your smartphone or a handheld compass, move about in the boat and keep the phone/compass aligned with the keel. If the heading drifts in the area where you have your fluxgate today, move it.

When I turn the wheel, the car will go towards that direction but the steering doesn't bring itself back to center as it used to before I got an alignment. When I am on a perfectly flat road, the

if the tech knew your steering box was loose i dont understand why he didnt attempt to adjust it for you.some vehicles are adjustable and some need to have the steering gear box replaced when loose. the vehicle should re center itself upon letting go of the wheel. there is an issue that has gone undiagnosed. you could have tire issues (unevenly worn due to driving on them with bad alignment for long period of time) low tire pressure could cause this too. to test your alignment find a good flat round (with no crown) let go of the wheel while driving (keep your hand there so you can quickly re grab the wheel) and see if the car pulls one way or another. if the road has a crown to it the car may drift some but this is normal in a parking lot or flat road it should go in a perfectly straight line. also over tightening the steering gear box could caus this issue. my recommendation to you would to be to research a more reputable/highly recommended shop to take another look at it for you. it sounds to me that both shops you went to may do alignments but might not be trained supension/steering techs. in other words theres something going on they dont know about

Google maps: street views keep going to a split screen with street on top and satellite on bottom. Also street views in full screen mode disappear after a second and the split screen mode reappears.Very...

When you go into the split screen, and you don't want to be there, just click the little arrow in the lower right hand corner (the arrow pointing down and to the right). This will reduce the bottom map portion into a small overview box in the lower right portion of the screen. It only takes a second to get out of the split screen that way. To get back into split screen, click the arrow in the upper left corner of the overview box (the arrow pointing up and to the right).

When i open the file it ask me to open with which program

what that means is that the FILE is not ASSOCIATED with any program you have. If you know that you have a program that will read/use that kind of file right click the file and click on "OPEN WITH" and select the program. also make sure you check "always use this program" and it will associate it with that software.

If you don't know what program it uses you will need to go on google and search to find out. What you do is: in the search blank area put in the part that comes after the period...ie "exe" or "ai" and the word "file type" or "file extension". So for example you would type in _ ai file type_ and it will take you to a link that says what software uses that file type or views the file type so you know what you need.

2011 Lincoln MKZ 1500 miles 2 months old Car drifts to the left Dealer just replaced both control arms car still drifts left I dont think the dealer has a clue on what it could be

What they should do is check the alignment. This is under warranty and they should be doing what ever it takes to make sure the vehicle is fixed. The only other thing that can make it drift would be a tire.Have them swap the 2 front tires and see if it drifts the other way.If it does then you have a tire problem. If not then the alignment has to be off and should be adjusted. If possible try another dealership.Hope this helps.Good luck.
