My beko washing machine seems to stop half way through washing and the 'start/cancel' button and the flash for the wash flashes ??? i then press start again and it continues to wash clothes but does the same thing again. Is there a problem with the settings? The user guide does not give much help. I have just brought it brand new 2 weeks ago

SOURCE: MY BEKO 1613S WONT WASH MY CLOTHES

Quite a common problem. The least common is the actual failure of the timer itself. It is much more commonly caused by the failure of the heater, water valve, pump, a broken wire or even a blockage in the pressure system or waste system.

When I press start on my beko WTB720E1W washing machine it changes the spin speed instead of starting the selected wash.what can I do?

Hello sir please read my answer

as beko is Turkish made
You need first to cancel the spin program (or any program u wrongly started)

to do that
Power on washing machine
Wait until the spin program starts

Then press and hold your finger on start button for 4 seconds
You notice the middle led with "tub symbol " and right led " vertical line with a pointing arrow to it" are lit together (or if it have display u see the spin symbol flashing or the play flash flashing depending on your washing machine model)
wait for few seconds u notice it stops the pump and program cancelled.
Power off washing machine for 10 seconds then power on your unit is ready for desired program to select.
Note that u need to do the above steps to cancel the program u want to change.
Regards

turn the machine off at the wall , leave off for 30 secs , switch back on
and push the start button
give the door an extra shove as this may not be fully closed
the on/off button will be a push in type , the start button is usually much smaller
