I have a Kodak Easyshare printer dock plus (not the camera itself) and I need to purchase the USB cable so I can print my photos from my PC. Do you know what USB I would need and where I can purchase one? I've tried local computer stores however they don't know. All they told me was it's the smaller version of the standard printer USB??

The easiest way to get the cable is to type in Kodak Easyshare in googles search. You will find a link that says Shopping results for..... Click on it, a whole mess of places to by the cable for around 3 dollars will show up. Clink on anyone of them to take you to the page to get to the seller of the cable. For the price I would probably avoid any ebay auctions and go with a direct purchase from like Buy.com.

Anyway good luck and I hope this helps you out.

What exactly is a kodak camera dock? I have a M893 IS kodak camera and having difficulty installing the software so I can transfer my photos to computer - so I thought maybe the "kodak camera jack" would...

The Kodak camera dock provides automatic battery charging and automatic connection to your computer when the camera is "docked." There is also a version of the dock that includes a printer, but I have found the printer to be poor quality and very unreliable. The dock must be connected to the computer via USB, and the Kodak EasyShare software must still be installed. The dock is a very handy accessory, but it will not solve your problem. What might help though is a visit to Kodak.com where you can get a free download of the latest EasyShare software that is correct for your operating system.

Only top half of the photo is printed on Easyshare printer dock series 3

This usually represents a communication issue...
It could be between the doc and the printer (try a new USB cable) or it could be in the printer dock itself - if so, you would want to call Kodak to get a repair if they still repair them or maybe they have an upgrade path.

Easy share kodak dock 3

Yes you can, but you need an appropriate USB cable----takes a regular USB type A on one end and a USB type MINI B (but NOT MICRO) on the other end. Kodak has one for 25 bucks. Stop at your local WalMart and pay 15 bucks or order it from Walmart.com for under 5 bucks (plus shipping of less than 3 bucks):

Just got a cable for similar use myself......Happy printing.

Kodak G610 prints from docked camera, but not from the computer

it is advisable to use a recomended usb cable for your printer dock. you can try also to uninstall and reinstall the printer driver on your computer. just simply follow this steps:

Remove the drivers that your operating system automatically installed on your computer:
-- On your desktop, select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Printers & Faxes.
-- Remove all Kodak printers.
Right-click the printer icon.
Select Delete.
-- On your desktop, right-click My Computer, then select Properties.
-- Select the Hardware tab.
-- Click Device Manager.
-- In the Universal Serial Bus controllers list, right-click USB Composite Device, then select Uninstall.
note: make sure that the only device connected to your computer usb port is your G610 printer dock to make sure that the USB Composite Device that you uninstall is for your G610, most of the devices connected to you usb port has USB Composite Device also.
-- In the Imaging devices list, if any Kodak printers appear, right-click the Kodak device, then select Uninstall.
-- Disconnect the USB cable from your printer.
-- Restart the computer
-- Power Cycle the printer
-- once your computer is ready connect the G610 to your computer
-- check if you have a pop up window display on your computer informing you that your computer found a hardware device
-- you can go to printer and faxes and check if the G610 printer icon is on the list
-- try to make a test print

Verify that your computer is communicating with your printer:
-- Check that your printer is on.
-- verify if the USB cable meets your printer specifications.
-- Check that the USB cable and the power cord are securely connected to your printer and your computer.

Kodak printer dock series 3

make sure the external card is activated, and make sure the pics reside on your pc, if you are trying to transport directly from an outside web source to the camera you'll just be confusing the computer. It may have worked at one time (luckily I may add) but by now the drivers are so corrupt that the process has fallen null. Otherwise reinstall the dock drivers to transfer the pics from a safe place on your PC to your Camera only. Good Luck!

Kodak EasyShare Software/Printer problems

Kodak has been making a lot of changes to that program, due to problems. If you loaded the software that came with the camera, it is very likely out of date. You need to visit the Kodak website and download the latest version of the software.
