1) Windows® 7, Windows Vista® (SP2), Windows XP (SP3) operating system.
2) Intel® Pentium® or AMD Athlon™ 1.8 GHz (2.4 GHz or higher recommended)
Intel Core™2 Duo 2.4 GHz required for AVCHD*, Intel Core™2 Quad 2.66 GHz or Intel Core i7 required for AVCHD* 1920.
3) 1 GB system memory recommended, 2 GB required for AVCHD*
4) A DirectX® 9 or 10 compatible graphics card with 64 MB (128 MB or higher recommended)
128 MB required for Red Giant Magic Bullet Looks Plug-in: Pixelshader 2 required, Intel GMA integrated graphics not supported. 256 MB required for HD and AVCHD*
5) DirectX 9 or higher compatible sound card.
6) 3,6 GB of free hard disk space.
7) DVD-ROM drive to install software.

Check to see if your system forfills the minimum system requirements.

From the looks of it there's no Vista support yet. Pinnacle Systems needs to come out with somekind of patch soon. I've been looking for an hour as well. Couldn't find anything but people discussing the fact that they need the patch badly. On the Pinnacle site there's a link to software for Dazzle Video Creator 9 but it leads to an error page.

I guess you'll have to watch carefully when an update arrives.
Or try to find something of an automatic update feature in the software, maybe it'll find something.

You can try simpler programs such as Windows Movie Maker but I don't think it suits your needs when you want to edit stuff.

Another solution might be Sony Vegas.

I think the best option for you is to Upgrade to Pinnacle Studio 14 which is $0, or Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate, which costs $70. An upgrade is cheaper than buying the entire version which will cost you about $130. The upgrade will work with Windows 7, Windows Vista (SP2), Windows XP (SP3).

On the other hand, if a program cannot be run under Windows 7 because of compatibility issues, you can right click on the executable file that will start the application and click Properties. Select Compatibility tab and check the Windows version you know the program worked with before. This will make it run as if it was running in Windows XP. you need to upload a driver for Visa. Scroll down to the bottom of the page on the link below and click on your version Vista32 or Vista 64 and download

I would go to pinncle studio 10 website and there should be a search bar on there website telling you how to remove the software.

Yes Studio 12 will work good with Windows 7 32 or 64 bit

I found with pinnacle 12 if you turn of the hardware acceleration and turn off the full-res preview,in video and audio preferences it speeds up transitions and text effects tremendously

researching this problem has led me to find that no drivers are good for vista... the update is your 1st choice..

next choice is replacing the card with another one thats vista compatible...

Only version 10 (and higher) is supported for Windows Vista.

They have pretty good deal going on for upgrades. I think you can upgrade to version 11 for $58.00
