My tv Sankey remote control does not work. I have a RCA universal remote control but I need the code number for programing. Can you help me. Thank you.-

Not knowing the code, you'll have to do it using the Automatic Code Search method.


1. Turn the TV ON manually.

2. Press and release the TV button on your remote. The illuminated ON-OFF button will turn on and stay on.

3. Press and hold both the TV and the ON-OFF buttons. The illuminated ON-OFF button will turn off, and then will come back on.

4. Release both buttons after the ON-OFF button turns back on. The button should remain on.

5. Press and release the PLAY button. You may have to do it several times. Be patient.
If the TV does not respond after five seconds, continue to press and release the PLAY button every five seconds until the TV turns off.

6. Just to check the code is right, after the TV turns off, press and release the REVERSE button then wait to see if the TV turns on again.

If that works, you've got it!

Press and release the STOP button to save the new code.

Go to a computer store and buy a universal remote, they are quite reasonable now, and use that instead.

Yes do a complete new channel scan. Play this like you just got the TV. If you want to buy the OEM factory remote you can most likely get it at the link and avoid all this hassle. Follow the link below. 1 800 Remotes

Just get as generic remote and if your code isnt in there go to the auto scan mode like it tells yo in the guide

You should have been given two remotes, do both do this? This can be a receiver issue on the opener as well.

I suggest you check with the manufacturer for that particular remote. If they are available they will be the only place you can find those codes. Or find the book that came with the remote
