Every time I try to switch my PDA off it comes up with the align screen message. Even after you carry the alignment out it still just comes up with the same message. I end up having to leave it to power off itself. Is there any fix available?

Re: Align screen
I have the same message if the unit is without power supply for a long time but it should not happen every time you switch the PDA on. Maybe is the battery defective.

The HP PSC prompts you to align cartridges every time you install or
replace a print cartridge. Aligning the cartridges ensures high-quality
output.
To align the print cartridges when prompted:
Press Enter on the front panel. A page of patterns is printed. The cartridges are aligned correctly. Recycle or discard the page.
To align the cartridges at any other time:
Press Setup.
Press 5, then press 2.
This selects Maintenance, and then selects Align Print Cartridges.

Hello,
I could be able to diagnosticate your problem but first I need to know some more details.
At the current state, can your pda be connected to active sync ? (you may try using it's cradle or usb cable)
Can you manage to pass in some way of the align screen message?
Does the screen respond to taps? When you tap the screen trying to callibrate does the cursor moves or does something?
Please try to explain these questions and I'll be back with an answer as soon as possible.
Thanks for understanding.
you should reset your phone.reset code is 1234.after that "align screen" shows
tap the screen at target for few moment untill align screen does not go.it takes several attemp.after align screen disappear time & date setting option appear.set it.after this window will reinstalling.it takes few minutes.after this phone will be started.
pda requests align of screen until you do it, if you cannot pass through aligning, you could have you digitizer broken, than you should put it to service
When you don't charge your PDA's battery for a while, and let both normal and backup batteries to finish completely, all your data in your PDA is lost, and it will go back to factory default state. As the operating system is stored in the ROM of your PDA, it will be reinstalled when you charge it again, and becuase there's no data left from the past state, you have to do all the settings again from the start, beginning with the screen alignment (You can tap carefully on the plus sign each time it moves). If you had a backup syncronized with your PC, you can then recover your data to your PDA.
ur Touch panel or in other word Digitizer is faulty try getting it replaced it is around 60 or 70 $ , if u dont want to spend money right now and just want to get rid of this screen alignment process just google 'bypass screen alignment ' there is a utility for that just connect ur pda using usb cable and bypass this process but u will not gett correct response when u touch the screen u will get mis aligned response if u want to get rid of this u have to spent money on hardware replacement
