Hi, can anyone confirm whether they have got tom tom sat nav software to work on their e330. I know the tom tom website doesn't list the e330 as compatible but then looking elsewhere on the web seems to suggest that it could be possible.

Re: GPS on a e330
In my opinion there is no reason that it will not work properly. As far as I know lot of PDA`s are sold in Germany with GPS. Only problem can be GPS hardware. If you want to buy some please check which ports they need to work properly.

If the maps are on an sd card you may be able to put tom tom on but as for updates myguide no longer exist and so don't provide updates. Mine still works fine and any roads that have been built that don't appear on the sat nav i have managed anyway.
Get the SD card for any comuter store, and after you have to install the nav software on it, which for some information regarding the unit I will sell it to you for a rezonable price

Firstly if you have a driver currently installed on your e330 for the GPS system, install it.
(To uninstall - Start => Settings => System (Tab) => Remove Programs.
One of the items in the list should be something like "PL-2303 USB Driver" Highlight it and click remove.
You will probably be prompted for a restart to complete the process)
Next, either reinstall the driver you got originally with the GPS receiver, or if you email me I will send you the one I have got.
You will again need to restart your Pocket PC to complete the installation process.
When you start your Tom Tom software, you may need to configure the GPS receiver. To do this, tap on the bottom right hand side of the screen, where the signal strength meter is and again tap on the signal meter on the next screen (top right corner)
Next, click configure, specify your GPS hardware (I would presume you have a generic NMEA GPS?) click select, select your devices baud rate (again unless you know otherwise, and do consult your GPS receiver manual, I think the generic is 4800 and click done. Now you should have 4 options of how your GPS device connects to your Pocket Pc. The bottom option should say something like "COM4:" Select that one and within a few seconds the GPS Status should spring into life.
