Screen light defect?

My E330 does not start up. This happened all of a sudden when I was installing a software upgrade. The battery indicator light works and battery is charging. However, I cannot switch the PDA on by pressing the on/off button. Does this mean that my screen light is broken? These last few weeks, I had some trouble with the screen already. Sometimes when I switched of the E330, the light went off (or dimmed) but there was still info to see on the screen...

I had a similar problem after removing battery on my e800. After battery full charging and after PDA resetting everything was OK again.

The device is not working. No matter whatever I do only the screen with the stylus description appears

Do you see any power light indicator blinking? Did you install something, before the problem starts?

If the PDA is completely powerless, you may want to start with the battery. It would be best to bring the PDA to the dealer and see if they have a spare battery that you may use for testing.

The problem could be a power issue, but most likely, it's a software related problem.

If you're able to test it with different battery, but you get the same problem, then contact the manufacturer and have them upgrade the firmware of your PDA. And that should fix the problem.

Thank you and good luck!

My krzr K1 phone freezes when I tyoe and hit key to finish...

This happens to all KRZR phones and there is no way around it. The KRZR has many software defects that Motorola will not fix because the phone is outdated. This shouldn't happen all the time, but it will probably happen a lot.

If you cant send a text at all, try a software upgrade.

Toshiba's A135-S4527 Battery isn't working anymore

Have the battery checked or better yet, replaced. Prolonged use might damage the charging circuitry of your machine.

Systemproblems with Toshiba e330

Here is an easy proposal for troubleshooting. Did you push the ON/OFF button for a few seconds? Did you switch the battery and wait between switching a few minutes? If the pda doesn't work after this troubleshooting you should go to a Service partner because there could be a hardware problem.

GPS device not recognized

Firstly if you have a driver currently installed on your e330 for the GPS system, install it. (To uninstall - Start => Settings => System (Tab) => Remove Programs. One of the items in the list should be something like "PL-2303 USB Driver" Highlight it and click remove. You will probably be prompted for a restart to complete the process) Next, either reinstall the driver you got originally with the GPS receiver, or if you email me I will send you the one I have got. You will again need to restart your Pocket PC to complete the installation process. When you start your Tom Tom software, you may need to configure the GPS receiver. To do this, tap on the bottom right hand side of the screen, where the signal strength meter is and again tap on the signal meter on the next screen (top right corner) Next, click configure, specify your GPS hardware (I would presume you have a generic NMEA GPS?) click select, select your devices baud rate (again unless you know otherwise, and do consult your GPS receiver manual, I think the generic is 4800 and click done. Now you should have 4 options of how your GPS device connects to your Pocket Pc. The bottom option should say something like "COM4:" Select that one and within a few seconds the GPS Status should spring into life.
