Can my Samsung Digimax A6 be used as a webcam?

I am just wondering if my Samsung Digimax A6 digital camera can be used as a webcam? Thanks in advance.

No. For a camera to be used as a webcam, it requires special drivers and also the camera has to have webcam capabilities. The A6 has neither of those.

Sorry, the Digimax 201 cannot be used as a webcam. It is designed to store images and videos to memory, not to stream them live to another device.

I know this isn't the answer you wanted to see, but no. The V800 was designed as a camera, storing images (and videos) to a memory card, not to stream them live to another device.

I want to replace the scrren as it is broken. do you know where i can do this. If i can by a replacement screen and replace it myself thats fine.the camera is a Samsung Digimax a6

You will need to source the following part number TC018THEB4. That's the screen and ribbon combined. Just take all the screws out and the one behind the rubber stopper on the right and side of the camera, and you will be able to replace screen. 10 MIN JOB.

Try cleaning the battery contacts & try checking if the contacts are absolutely dry.

Camera shows low Battery and goes off even if u insert a new one

are you using NiMh rechargeable batteries?
If yes, check that they are fully charged. If that doesn't do the trick, sounds like it might be a power circuit issue. Samsung is in Secaucus, NJ
