Do you mean a 1.44mb floppy disk? If so you need a 3.5 inch floppy drive, "you don't remove the disk from the plastic cover"
If the laptop doesn't have a built in floppy drive, you can buy a USB external one.
You don't say if you wish to scan to the floppy, or get photographs from it!
There is no point in scanning to a floppy these days as it's capacity of 1.44MB will hold very few high resolution photos.
if you are trying to retrive photos from a floppy either get the USB floppy drive sugested above or use a PC which has a floppy drive & transfer to another medium which can be read by your laptop (SD card, burn to CD) or of course email the scans to yourself.

You can't remove this cover, if you do it will be damaged permanently. If your laptop have a floppy drive then you can do , if not there is a few ways around it, put the floppy in your desktop floppy drive and copy pictures to my pictures folder and then send them to your email address or place them as documents and do an attachment, but you must be able to insert this 2hd in a (floppy drive) or you can copy this disk to a memory stick!

Why is picture scrambled on my memorex dvd mvd2016

The MVD is a progressive scan DVD player if your TV is 1080i or shows interlaced images only and doesnt have the option for progressive scan this would be an issue. I would suggest trying this DVD player on another television first. Also what is the model of your television?

Another issue is if you have and HD TV and are hooking up the A/V jacks to the HD component inputs this would also provide a jumbled picture. It would be a good idea to check and make sure that the A/V cabled are inserted into the correct input.

I have put a nother hard disk western digital wd800j-75msa3 but when windows xp home edition service pack 2 is loading start op i get then a blue screen that says stop check for viruses or hard disk...

First thing that I would do is this, scan the HD for virus using another PC AND use another Antivirus file, like Norton 360. I trust Norton before I trust AVG. If Norton finds any virus's, it will delete it, if it's set up right or it will ask you what you want to do? Once this is done and all virus have been deleted try runinng it again. If this dose not work, there's always "Reformatt" You can remove the HD and use USB ExHD, just conext the 2 together and run the scan. DO NOT OPEN IT. Run scan first.

Remove the six screws and detach the HDD When mounting the HDD unit,be sure that the flat cable is under the plastic sheet of the HDD upper case.

Solution 1# :
It can be a Sector Problem ,to resolve it just press 1&9 keys at the same time the machine started the HD Diagonose and it repared the sector error without replacing the HDD .

Solution 2# :
try to go in to disc check service mode to clear the sectors ,this should work if it doesnt you will need to replace the hard drive .

Solution 3# :
Try HD clear & then HD check for every sector in service mode. Then try to upgrade system software; If nothing works change hard disk ,format & install system software. Posted by Kuyung at 5:50 AM icon18_edit_allbkg.gif Labels: error code 602-0003 IR5000, error code 602-0003 IR6000

I am trying to remove the HD, so I can connect it to a SATA/IDE to USB adapter. Not sure how to remove the HD.

Hi

thank you for your query

Please do the following

1) Turn the laptop over on its front
2) You will be presented with the bottom of the laptop, the screen hinges should be facing the front
3) In the bottom left hand coner there will be 2 screws, screwed into what looks like a little black plastic cover
4) Remove these 2 screws and using a flat bladed screwdriver open up the plate
5)The hard drive will be located underneath this cover
6)Simply pull the drive to the left or right (depending what side the connector is on), and pull up and out

This will remove the hard drive, reverse the above if you wish to reinstall

I hope this helps

Hello
seems like your hardrive is broken. one thing you can check is to remove the harddisk and check the IDE connectors and put it back it can be something loose. the other thing is to remove the plastic under the laptop so you see the HD and feel if the HD make any noice or vibrations when you start the computer.
