Re: extra lights with sony cyber shots
Any camera that has a flash, can trigger a "slave" flash.
I have one that came with a little bracket that hooks into the tripod mount point. Work great, it also came
with a little tripod so that you could use it for backlighting, etc.

Make sure Flash Shoe option is Off in setup menu then check flash light. Does camera give any blinking error code when flash fails to fire? Does flash pop up when you press shutter button to take picture in low light? Let me know to find out possible cause of problem.
Go to Menu/ Home and initialize camera to reset it for factory default settings to fix flash light settings bug. If problem still not solved, let me know do you see any error code flashing in top right corner of lcd?
It will only flash when there is not enough available light when in AUTO flash mode. To flash no matter what, go into the camera setting and select that choice. Normally something like demand flash or a symbol that looks like a lightning bolt. Then it will flash every time. That does use more battery power though. By the way, I like that setting better too.
