Lost Maxi cosi recyning rod

Hi
Which model Maxi-Cosi Priori is it?

The original Priori was discontinued some time ago and we can no longer support this product for spare parts or repairs. We would advise that this particular seat is replaced.

The Priori SPS, PrioriXP and PrioriFix carseats are still part of the current range so can be supported for spare parts and repairs. If you visit www.maxi-cosi.com and select which country you're in you'll find a Contact Us tab on the right side of the page where you can click to send your enquiry to the customer care team in your country.

Can you get a replacement polystyrene head support

Good Afternoon

The original Maxi Cosi Priori carseat has been discontinued in the UK for some years and it is no longer recommended for use as in the UK it is at least 5 years old. We recommend that a carseat is replaced once it is 5 years old as the plastics and polystyrenes which make the carseat safe will naturally degrade over time and in the event of an accident it may not provide the protection required. For this reason we are not able to provide spare part items in the UK for this product. If it is a Maxi Cosi Priori SPS, Priori XP or PrioriFix please contact customer services regarding this by going to www.maxi-cosi.com and selecting the country you're in for your message to be sent to the customer service department in your country.

Good Evening

In the UK the Maxi Cosi (original) Priori, the Priori SPS, Priori XP and PrioriFix carseats are not for rear facing use. They are only to be fitted forward facing.

Just bought a maxi cosi priorifix car seat and the handle for the recline is very loose and kind of flappy, however it does work (i.e. the seat moves and locks into the 4 positions) is this how it should...

Good Evening

"Loose and kind of flappy" is not how the recline handle on a PrioriFix carseat should be described - Please contact your retailer with your proof of purchase and ask them to compare it to others in store to check whether yours is different. If it is, they will be able to assist from there.

Can't take off maxi cosi carseat cover, because grey strap at the bottom doesn't come loose.

Slack off the straps as far as possible and recline the seat. Open the strap guard door on the rear of the bit of the seat that reclines (Item 3 on diagram http://www.maxi-cosi.com/media/producthandleidingen/maxicosi/PrioriFix.pdf). The shoulder straps can be released from the metal clasp which is in here. You can now pull the straps through the back of the seatand release the cover.

Removing seat cover maxi cosi priorifix

To be able to remove the seat cover from your seat you have to 'unhook' the seat belts at the back of the seat:
First extend the seat belt to the maximum length.
Then put the seat at the maximum recline.
At the back of the seat-'shell' you will then see a metal hook that hold the shoulder straps: unhook and pull forward.

Reassembly is just the reverse.

A few more tips when removing the cover from a PrioriFix: take care not to damage the white extruded foam when pulling the belts forward and when taking off the cover. When the foam is not protected by the padding it may easily snap.

The seat padding is cold wash only and no spin-dry, otherwise the seams may loosen.

Please don't hesitate to use the contact form at http://www.babycare.nl if you need any further assistance.

Have purchased Maxi Cosi baby restraint with Easy Base - Iso fix,

The Maxi Cosi CabrioFix and EasyFix can only be used with IsoFix or the seat belt on (preferrably) the back seat. Please don't alter the mounting system of the seat as it will give unpredicable results!

The Commodore name has been around since 1978 so it is possible when you own an older Commodore you won't have any means to fix the Maxi Cosi seat.

If you do have IsoFix and/or seat belts in the back seat then please elaborate on the exact nature of the problem.

Moving maxi cosi to another car

Hi,
I assume that you mean the Maxi Cosi Priorifix?
At the top of the leg (that extends to the floor of your car) there is a button (which, if connected to the Isofix points will be red) push this button in as far as it will go and the seat will release from the Isofix points.

I hope this helps.
