Ever since I got my camera, I had noticed that there was quite a long pause between pressing the button to take a picture and the flash actually going off... A few weeks ago, I bought my camera to a party, and the flash just stopped working completely. I am able to only take pictures without the flash on. When the flash is on, or the camera is on the auto mode, the camera will make the beeping sound to indicate that it is about to take a picture - but the flash will not go off and no picture will be taken! has this happened to anyone else? i'm going to have to bring my camera into a licensed pentax shop, but in the mean time I am camera-less and worried that this is going to be expensive to fix Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Check the settings and be sure you have sufficient power. If you want to test the camera for defaults, remove the batter from the camera for a day or so, then replace it. This will set its defaults. If the flash continues to not work, then I suggest calling Pentax and having it serviced.
