My Roper Washing machine is full of water and won't run. The motor tries to run but the machine does not agitate or empty.

Few washing machines use a water pump driven by the main motor - most have a separate motor/pump assembly.

Clearly there is more wrong with your washer than is immediately obvious. Not sure what is meant by the motor "tries" to run - surely it either runs or it doesn't?

Perhaps you mean because the motor isn't running you can hear the buzzing noise some controllers produce?
I am guessing either the controller is faulty or the controller thinks the tub is empty because something has gone wrong with the water level switch and so refuses to switch on the pump..

Clearly somebody with suitable experience should take a look inside.

Bosch SHE44C06UC/22 won't fill with water even though you hear water running somewhere.

Check to make sure there is no residual water underneath the unit, they have a flood sensor and if it is picking up water in the motor area it won;t run.

I have a ddr5009ree. It runs. Air is going in. Air is going out but no water collects. What should I do?

listen if you hear the compressor running. Most likly a failed unit but depends on how hany you are. After disconnecting the power remove the cover of the unit. Closely look at the wiring and look for any signes of burnt wiring or other damage. My guess is that a controll has opend preventing the compressor from operating. It might be easer to look for a new unit.

PROBLEM: Unit will start, fill with water, wait through normal cycle time, then drain. Unit does not perform washing (arms spinning & spraying water, etc.) cycle.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

The problem is that the control detects that the motor is not running and so drains water directly after filling it. If you hear a hum sound from the bottom panel then it is the motor that is bad, if you don't hear any sound and still the unit performs same way then first thing to check is the motor, and then check the control as even a bad relay in control can cause this issue. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

My dishwasher has water going in to it and it drains but it's not making it to the arms, my dishes are still bone dry after all cycles even pre rinse.

it appears ur wash motor is not running.try this-start the unit and let it run for 2 min( this is the water fill period) and after 2 mins u should hear motor running and water splashing sound.u can even open the door and look for water falling from the spray arms.but after 2 mins if u hear only a humming sound and no water splash sound then motor is bad and needs to be chgd.drain motor is seperate for draining the water.

Fan does not turn but motor seems to be running fine

Rain should not affect an outdoor unit. It is designed to be outside. The motor that you are hearing... could this just be your compressor running? If the condenser fan is not operational the compressor will run much louder. TURN THE POWER OFF! See if the fan will spin freely if it is pushed. If it doesn't replace the fan motor. If it does you need to check the power at the contactor going to the condenser fan motor. This is 220 volts BE CAREFULL.. If power is going to the motor and the motor is not running... Change the motor and capacitor. If no power is going to it it could be a bad contactor.
Good luck....

My ranai tankless heater is not working

Check the electrical supply to the unit but my guess would be an issue with the water flow sensor.
