Need service and repair manual for rockwell ban saw #28-243 model 14

It has been discontinued by Delta. It would be hard to find replacement parts for this band saw. I think Rockwell 28-20C would cost $100-200.

If I'm not mistaken, that model saw is already discontinued. I suggest you call or email Tool Parts Direct or Delta. I only have band saw machine, I'm thankful that bandsawparts.com makes aftermarket parts for all brands of band saw.

try doing a Google search. Put in the name, model and word 'manual'. Bet you get a lot of hits.

Ok so you understand that Rockwell became Delta, or was it the other way round?? Either case the best source of manuals for these much loved machines is over at Old Wood Working Machines:

You should find your model.. 14" Delta doesn't really pin it down too exactly. The model number should be on the warning plate.

I can't find one for the exact model number you have, but there are a lot of manuals for the same era bandsaws available as PDF downloads at this site. Perhaps another manual for a similar machine will help answer most of your questions, in lieu of the correct one...
Have a look around there, though, at both the Delta and Rockwell listings, as I just made a quick look to find yours and there might be something there somewhere.

The manual doesn't seem to be available online at the moment. There's a parts diagram, if that's helpful, or perhaps you can find an alternate site that provides instruction manuals. See this link, in any event.
Otherwise, you might check Woodworker's supply (woodworker.com) for the accessory fence and rail. They carry genuine Delta parts, which should fit your old Rockwell, as well as some aftermarket fences and guides that will usually adapt easily to fit a 14" bandsaw. The 14" Rockwell is one of the industry standards, and many woodworker catalogs carry fences that will bolt on with a minimum of fuss.
I recommend you do a web search on "14" bandsaw fence", and browse the results. You may even find something used to suit your needs.

try there web sight, if I'm not mistaken, Delta bought out rockwell and they should be able to help. I had an old rockwell table saw and the man shaft that the blade attached to was missing.I contacted delta with the model number of the saw and they faxed me a blue print of the shaft and we machined a new one and the saw still works great.
