Firts time using my HP color LaserJet 5550 Printer

Ok .... the first thing you need to do is to check if it in fact has memory. look for a small door opening on the sides (perhaps even were the cables connected to your computer plug in. It almost sounds like the memory may have come unseated during shipping. Fairly easy fix if that is it. when you find the access panel for the memory move the tabs on each side away from the memory chip... pull up on it. push it back into the socket the same way it was. the side tabs should go back into place by themselves. If you have to turn it over to gain access to the memory ... remove the ink cartridge first ...

If you are not comfortable with doing that or cannot find the access panel. you may have to return it to the store to have them do it. If they cannot i'll find you better instructions
