I have a delonghi portable air conditioner and I have had nothing but bad luck with it. It was installed correctly and has never been stored on its side - we had it upright in the box for at least 3 weeks before it was installed. the 2 problems that we have are: 1. the hose does not connect properly in the back. The hose has those litle hooks that it is meant to hold it into place, but it doesnt always work and the hose comes out on its own. 2. the even bigger problem is that the air conditioner blows out warm air. it will work for about 5 minutes and then you can hear a small click and it swithces to warm air. I checked the hose and it is in when it does this. the room that it is in is not too big - 350 square feet. any solutions/ideas? Thanks

I sat on hold with Delonghi for about 25 minutes before I talked to someone this morning.  Expect a long wait before you get helped.

For this specific problem (unit works, just doesn't blow cold air), the unit MUST be sent to an authorized repair facility.  No repair facilities in Texas.  The closest one to Texas is:

Delonghi said they will cover mine under full warranty up to 13-months.  No RMA needed, just a photo copy of the purchase receipt for the unit. Outbound shipping is something not covered by Delonghi, but they will pay for parts, labor, and return shipping.
All-Brands said they don't have any specific requirements for packing, other than making sure the casters on the bottom of the unit are well-protected.  It is common for them to break during shipping.  They recommended, though, that if you have someplace nearby that does professional packing, like a UPS Store, to take it there.  It's not a requirement, just a recommendation.
Along with the unit send a copy (not the original) of your purchase receipt, your name and telephone number, and the address to where the unit will be returned.  Also, include a detailed description of the problem with your unit.

Your should be putting more water into the aircon's water tank, since yours is a water assisted airconditoner heat-pump, it would require water to give u more cooler air and cool the room down more.
