I changed from, what we cal here, Qtek 9090, which had the possibility to resise the picture so that it fitted the today wallpaper. Does anybody know how/if I can do this on my Ipaq?

The screen size is 240x240 so you will need to reduce your picture to that size. You can put the pictures on the storage card, or other storage and then you can go into the your today screen settings and pick the storage area with the pictures in it.

How do i set my pictures for my wallpaper?

You can set any pictures to be your wallpaper(provided that it's on the phone already).
  • go to file explorer, then click on the picture you want to set as the wallpaper. Then press menu, choose Set as Today background.
  • Touch Flo enabled: You need to go to the touch 3D settings.. its on the scroll touch bar after weather and internet etc. Thats where you change the wallpaper
  • If you have disabled touchflo, go to start-> settings -> today. There you can change themes, and at the bottom check the "Use this image as background" box and it will let you browse to your photos/pics.

How do I set-up my WLAN card to my HP iPAQ Hw6515

The HP IPAQ 6515 will support WLAN access via a SDIO WIFI card (which looks like a 'long' standard SD card): it is just a bit tricky to get this add-onl SDIO WIFI card to work properly!

Wallpaper problems

First of all, you need to reset your device, and replace the configurations to a factory settings, this make the things easier.

2nd: to set a picture to wallpaper the picture need to respect the characteristics of the display, and the image need to math the display size. in your case 240 x 240 and must be in JPG format.

Try to use this settings and post me a reply.

Good luck

Display picture

You can find the file qith file explorer. Then simply click on it to display it. You should also have HP Image Viewer to display your pictures. When you click and hold on the file name, you will get the option to 'Set as Today Wallpaper'.

I purchased Dockware Pro when I had my hx4700. I don't recall if the basic verison does that (sorry waiting for the US launch of the HW6515). If it doesn't offer an external memory section then you might need to upgrade.

HW6515 Phone Option Screen fail to launch

Sounds like it might be time to test things in a vanilla fresh setup.......... -Backup your system via iPAQ backup to an SD card (or ipaq file store if you have room) Warning, following will delete all main memory and set back to factory default! -do a hard reset (hold in power and reset for 20 seconds) -Test programs again, see if it acts the same. You can then restore your setup via iPAQ backup again if needed. You can also poke around the following site for suggestions on tested task managers and today screen apps. (I use HandySwitcher)
