Hi, I would be happy to assist you with your question. Prime Time Any Time is a feature of the Hopper that allows your local channels to be viewed using one tuner. It also allows for the recording of all four major networks ABC, CBS, NBC, & FOX during prime time hours using one tuner. If one TV is set to a local channel than you can press the Red Hot Key on any DISH Remote and it will display the TV Viewing Screen and all the locals will be listed. You can scroll to and select any of the locals listed and it will play on that TV. If you are still having issues and need additional assistance, please feel free to PM DISH directly on facebook here: http://goo.gl/dgbNL Thank you!

Yes, it should be HD ready. There should be a small label on the front of the TV if so (provided it has not been removed). You will need a HD cable box, convertor or HD satellite box (Direct TV or Dish Network) to view HD broadcasts (even from free over-the-air HD broadcasts if you live within range of a local broadcasting station). I had the same, or very similar TV but upgraded to flat screen plasma set.
Hello! The guide might be set to only HD. You will find this out by going into the guide. At the top Left of your guide, you will see that it says left to the right of the DISH Network logo. If it says ALL HD, then just press the GUIDE button again, until the list says ALL CHAN or ALL SUB. This way, you can view not only HD channels, but SD channels as well! Hope this helps!!!!
Hello, this is Matthew Gonzales with DISH Network customer service. To answer your question, yes the ViP211 will work with a dish 500. It will receive the standard channels as you asked, but if you wish to get HD, the dish on your home will need to be upgraded. Hope this helps!
have you tryed to go to setting and letting it yout tv know that you want sound onto the hd channels.? if you have any more problems joust contact you coustmer service for dish network. problalby your tv is not compatible and you need an hd receiver. i have dish network myself and just upgraded my receive to hd.
I also have directv. At this point,it is a video signal issue on their end.The up conversion is ok at best.Depending on the original video that is probably as good as it gets. The other problem is the wow factor from hd.It is hard not to be critical of the non-hd channels.
