Ipaq with GPS reciver

sounds like LCD water damage. You can replace the LCD screen if you can find that part.

If your "OK" with a PDF version of your IPAQ device, you may view and/or download the IPAQ MANUAL from HP's website.

Copy the following and Paste it into your favorite web browser (FireFox, IE, Chrome, etc.)----

It appears the maps were last updated in 2007, so im guessing they have stopped supporting this model fully.

i would not buy another ipaq if someone gave me the money..the last two i bought (600.00 ea) both took a **** right after the warranty ran out....

HP did nothing to help even though it was within a day (how lucky i am) of expiring.

I cannot find any problem on the site,if you still can't get it to accept your data contafct support at Garmin

The unit receives signals from 3 (or more) satellites, and uses very sensitive timing to determine your distance from each of them. The unit does not transmit to the satellites, but only receives what they transmit... so it is a "receiver, only".

As an update I have contacted hp Warranty Support via phone and we determined that all the criteria was made to have the hx2755 returned to have diagnostics performed and repair if needed.. All my computers and periphery are HP as I have full confidence in the product line.

Maybe you can try on com port 7 with baud rate 57600.
