My router is not sending the wi-fi signal, i already reset it more than 10x and unplugged it and unplugged my modem , restart or turn off my computer i did the whole run> ipconfig ****, still nothing...

Got any other "wireless" device that you can try, such an iPod Touch, to try to pickup a signal from your router?

Does your laptop have a switch or slider or FN-key-plus-some-Function-Key-1-thru-12 to disable/enable the laptop's wireless adapter?

If you take your laptop to another location with "free WiFi", such as MacDonalds or Starbucks, can you pickup their wireless network? If not, then the problem is _NOT_ your D-Link router.

If you use your desktop to connect to the web-server "inside" the router, does the wireless transmitter on the D-Link show as "disabled" or "enabled" ?

The routers not finding the laptop.i turn the router on the same time as the laptop but its not even indicating that the router exists

You need to install the driver for the router on your laptop in order for you to set up a network on your device. If it has been already installed, you need to refresh (reset) your router to be able to notice your laptop or you will have to manually add your laptop to your network.

In order for you to make computer to wireless with your existing wireless router, first thing that you need here is a wireless adapter that will serve as a receiver for your computers to pick up the signal from your router.
Once you already have a wireless adapter on your computer you can now detect the signal of the router and connect to it and that should be fine after that.

I am trying to connect my new router to my laptop, but the instructions say i should connect my pc to the internet by connecting my ethernet cable to the router.my problem is i have only one connection and...

Modem <-- Ethernet cable --> WAN port on router

LAN port #1 on router <--- Ethernet cable --> network-port on desktop computer

LAN port #2 on router <-- Ethernet cable --> network-port on laptop computer

If the router has built-in "wireless" capability, then use the desktop computer's connection to the router to "configure" the wireless adapter, i.e., pick an SSID, and establish a password, and then your laptop computer can use the SSID/password to connect "wirelessly" to the router.

D-link range booster installed on main PC, still

Check your wiring:

Cable-modem (or DSL-modem) <---> WAN-port on Router

LAN-port on router <--> network-port on your desktop computer

Follow the instructions that came with the router,
to access the built-in web-server "inside" the router.
Run the "Wireless Networking Setup Wizard" to configure your wireless network.

Now, try to access your newly-defined network from your laptop.

Hi I have a wireless router linksys wrt100 and I have 2 laptops (notebooks) and a cpu I also have 3 printers (1 wireless and 2 usb cable printers). I would like to make all wireless is is possible. PS. My...

Option1: Install both USB printers on the desktop computer, and then share them. Your laptops will be able to connect to them, but only when the desktop is turned on.

Option2: Buy a wireless print server, (Available from D-Link, LInksys, HP, etc) and use that to connect your USB printers wirelessly.

If you also want to wirelessly connect the desktop to your network, purchase either a USB, or PCI Wireless NIC for it.

Your wireless network is secured and thats why its asking for the network key. If you dont remember the same, contact your router manufacturer or ISP and get the router reconfigured
