I recently had a hard drive crash. I've been trying to get my iPAQ set up again on my new hard drive. I can no longerlocate my installation CD for my iPAQ, but I was able to download Active Sync 3.8. The problem is that my computer isn't recognizing the iPAQ - it says there are no drivers installed for it. I've gone to the "download drivers & software" section on the HP website, but nothing there has been helpful. Since I can't locate my installation CD, am I just stuck with an iPAQ that won't sync, or is there something else I can do?
All you should need is Activesync. Try the following... From your PC .......... with IPAQ cradled click on Start, Control Panel Double-click on System Click on Hardware, then Device Manager Click on '+' to left of Universal Serial Bus Controllers Click on '+' to left of Windows CE USB Devices Right Click on HP USB Sync Select 'Uninstall' Uncradle IPAQ Reboot PC
