Just recently I took my camera out for a day's use after a period of inactivity (a month or so). but when i try to take pictures it doesnt work. ALL other features work just that when i depress fully the button nothing happens...it was working fully before i left it for a month or so.
I have tried with a CF card and internal mem with no luck or changes, when i try movie mode it doesnt record either...

Re: Problem with 330RS
I fixed one of these for another person a few months ago by using a little bit of electrical contact cleaning spray which is available from electronics stores. I let a small amount of spray in around the shutter press button where it seaped into the switch. After a few presses it started to work reliably, and has been ok to this day to my knowledge.
Do not apply too much as it is unknown where any excess would go if it got loose inside.
Hope this helps

Sounds odd - working one day then NOT the next day.
When you downloaded the pictures - did you delete the originals from the card ?
(card could be full) depending how many pictures you took.
Did the card have a lock button (sliding button on one side) - this could have been activated.
Does the card need re-formatting by the camera - maybe the PC removes the pictures and changes the format on the card.
Can you borrow/try another card from a friend/shop to insert and see what message comes back !!
That's about all I can think of -- hope that helps - Rays
Hello,
I believe the issue is with the lens If the product is in warranty period kindly check with the seller or else you can buy a different lens for your camera I have recently come across a coupon website it has amazing coupons and offers i.e GrabOn http://www.grabon.in/ I hope this helps.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

I had a similar problem where I was trying to download images at at friend's (I have XP at home and they had Vista) and a quick solution that worked for me is to use a card reader plugged into the PC instead of trying to directly connect the camera. Hope this helps? Andy
Your camera's shutter mechanism or camera's CCD may have encountered problem. If so have a replacement if under warranty or try this:
try resetting the camera from reset switch or menu.
pull out the battery and memory card for 2 to 3 days and reinsert them after that. May your problem gets solved.I got the same problem with my nikon d80 slr trying these methods i got my problem solved hope yours also.
