Re: Internet connection at my e830
To configure the Wireless connection you can use the Wifi connection wizard or setup the connection manually. I hope that you have checked your workgroup too.
Also you should check if your IP settings are the same at the router and PDA (dynamic and static IP)!
If you have some another device connected to the router remember them when you setup the PDA connection!
In the end the MAC address of the PDA WLAN card must be saved in the router!

This sounds like a route problem. This can happen if the settings to the WAN are correct. If you are using a dialup DSL router check to make sure that it is connecting to your ISP. Same for a cable modem. Once you have verified that it is connected properly then set your WLAN gateway to point to the WAN IP number. if you are using DHCP for IP addressing for your wireless devices make sure that the gateway address is set correct also. Check DNS settings sometimes the ISP's DNS servers are not setup correctly or are not stable try using googles free DNS numbers of 184.108.40.206 or 220.127.116.11
I use an e830 with a Holux GR230 without having any problems. The e830 uses already the latest stack from Toshiba so no need to upgrade. For the e800, hm depends on what kind of BT SD card you use, meanwhile Toshiba sells the BT SD3 card. Anyway, I would recommend to use the latest BT stack from Toshiba for your Toshiba BT SD card.
As far as I know it is not easy to do because the hardware is bundled with the software. How did your friend make it? As far as I know it is not possible to order it from service partner.
Check also Toshiba site and see what you can find in download area.
