Hi;
I having error F61 on display. What problem it could be causing this message?
Our building was bashed by storm recently. I have open the unit and replaced rectifier and IC STR F6668. It started to work with few dashes and after that F61 appeared.
Thank you

The F61 is the shorthand for protect mode. This indicates a problem with the output amplifier section. I don't have a listing for your specific model, but a similar one HT95 lists IC501 as the output amp chip. Check for the marking on the large black IC attached to the heatsink it may be RSN311W. If so, this can be ordered using part number: RSN311W64D-P for $95.20 from tritronicsinc.com.
Hope this helps,
Dan
There is a regulator chip inside these that can cause the same symptom. While rare, this occurs as well. It mimics the amp problem because some of the voltages are not there to enable the output amp to work properly. I don't have the manual with me at the moment, but this chip should be a multi-pin one attached to another heat sink. Look around at all of the chips to be sure of solid connections as well. Resolder any that appear to be grainy or have rings. Keep me updated. I'll look up the remaining possibilities in the meantime.

Hello Dan,
Thank You for your assistance. However, the output stage IC's were not the issue. Even though, I replaced them with new ones, I still had the same problem.
Once, I solve the problem, I will forward to you the information for your knowledge.

Hi Dan,
I have found another faulty IC2301(4 channel switch). It was dropping symmetrical voltage from 7to 4 volts because I don't have a replacement & I just soldered it away. I was hoping the error message would not appear.
Could that switch be causing the error message? I can forwarded to you the schematic diagram. How can I forwarded it to you?
