Water leaks from the bottom on the freezer side. it only leaks occasionally, not all the time

Check the drip tray in the freezer section where defrost water drips from the defrost heater melting frost during the defrost cycle. If ice blocks the drain hole in the tray inside the freezer(usually behind the evaporator cover) the defrost water will travel into the bottom of the freezer & onto your floor. Some models also have a second evaporator in the fresh food section. A blocked drain or clogged defrost drain tube can cause the problem.

The drain line in the freezer could be clogged spills water during defrost

This can be the drain of the auto defrosted water that is overflowing from the collection tank. This is normally located at the bottom of the fridge and a little above the compressor in some cases.
So you will need to move the fridge forward to check on the bottom side of the back of the fridge.
The water can be drained out of the tank and reset.

Most cases, your freezer evaporator drain hole is frozen, every time it goes into defrost, water backs into the bottom of the freezer and leak on the floor. Try turn off the freezer for approx. 48hrs with door open, afterward turn it back on, most cases it will reset by it self, if no,t check door gasket, evaporator fan motor or debris in the drain hole. There is a pan at the bottom of the unit. It catches the defrost cycle water and the heat from the comp. and condensor helps it evaporate. But, it's plastic. Mice have probably chewed holes in it trying to get at the water...They must have water to survive, right? Remove it and you'll see the holes....Then, replace it or epoxy the holes in it with plastic layering from old butter containers etc.

There should be some kind of drain at bottom of freezer compartment to collect and run off any condensate that collects during defrost cycle.. Clean out the drain and snake out the line that leads from it. Right now the liquid is collecting where it should not and it will leak out the gasket when you have enough of it.

try checking the tube that water drains out , it could be plugged with crumbs or old partials of food and causing the problem, This has happened with my fridge at one time , affecting the defrost cycle of the freezer and dripping water out of the door, The tube was located under the crisper in the back of the inside of my fridge, Hope this solves your problem

it is possibe the inlet to the drain line may be plugged.The defrost water cannot run down the drain line to the pan on on the bottom.Also make sure it is level
