The unit still makes a running noise but seems to collect no water. this unit is about 4 years old but stopped collecting water about 2 years after purchase

4-5 years old. Has work great all that time. In the past week it stop collecting water. It runs but never any water in it. It's not leaking out. The collection pail is dry as a bone.

My dec14 has stopped prodicing water in the tank but seems to be working normally. I have damp patches on my walls so there is moisture to collect. Why has it stopped working please?
