My v touch pro touch screen wont work

b> The Touch Pro2, manufactured by HTC, is a smartphone designed to be used with the Verizon wireless phone network. This smartphone combines a cell phone, PDA, MP3 player and wireless Internet access into a small, portable device. If the device begins malfunctioning or freezing, you can perform a soft reset. A soft reset does not delete any of your saved information. It shuts the phone down and reboots the phone to the Verizon Today Welcome Screen.

Pull the stylus upward to remove it from the side of the phone. Push the back cover upward using your thumbs until it pops from the back of the Touch Pro2 phone. The back cover can then be lifted away and removed from the phone. Press the "Reset" button, on the upper, left side of the back panel using the stylus tip. The device will now restart and display the Verizon Today screen. Snap the back cover back onto the back of the phone. Touch Screen is Not Working
As most tablet PCs ,Phones and Mp3 players are full touchscreen devices, you use your touchscreen for everything you need to do on your Tablet PC. If the touchscreen stops working, you can't get much use out of your Tablet. Touchscreen issues are caused by hardware or software problems, but check with your manufacturer before attempting a DIY repair.

Hardware Issues Damages to the surface of your Tablet PC can cause the touchscreen to malfunction or stop working entirely. For example, putting pressure on the screen, such as placing the Tablet PC in a bag with other heavy items, can cause cracking along the screen. Exposing the screen to water, even in small amounts, can cause the electrical system within the touchscreen to malfunction. If the electrical system malfunctions, the touchscreen stops working properly. b> Screen Sensitivity b> Pressing the touchscreen on your Tablet PC sends a signal to the internal motherboard. The motherboard then transmits to other components, such as the hard drive. The accuracy of the touchscreen depends on the screen's sensitivity. Many Tablet PCs include a program for calibrating the touchscreen. This program may fix minor responsive issues. Even a small amount of dirt or debris can effect how the touchscreen responds. Cleaning your touchscreen with an electronics cleaner or a microfiber cloth may help improve sensitivity. b> Software Issues b> A driver is a software program that interacts between hardware devices and an operating system, Your Tablet PC needs the right drivers for your OS to work correctly. Outdated or missing drivers can cause the touchscreen to work improperly, or not respond at all. Visit the manufacturer's website to find the right drivers for your Tablet PC. b> Repair b> While you can perform some minor repairs yourself, such as re-calibrating the touchscreen sensitivity or installing drivers, only perform a hardware repair if you have a good working knowledge of electronics, specifically Tablet PCs. Before attempting to repair your device, contact your manufacturer. If your Tablet PC has a warranty, completing an unauthorized repair may make you ineligible for claiming that warranty. Hope this helps

The touchscreen us not working at all, the other buttons work

Hello

Do not put lotion on your hands and do not touch the screen if your hands are wet. Any kind of moisture can affect the way the touchscreen operates. Moisture sometimes slows the response time from the screen to the operating system.

Check for a protective sheet on the screen. If there is some kind of a film or sheet on the touchscreen, the screen is likely not able to react to all of the sensitivities of the touch of a finger as it normally would.

If there is an application open and the touchscreen seems to not be working, simply close the application and retry it. A frozen application can usually be closed by pressing and holding on the circular button located just below the touchscreen.

Completely reset the phone by holding the "Home" button and the "Reset" button for a full 10 seconds until the phone resets.

Iphone touch screen is not working. Restored the phone from backup succesfully, but screen still doesn't work. Phone receives calls, etc., but can't unlock or answer calls because screen doesn't respond to...

Even though the iPhonemag-glass_10x10.gif is a device that is extremely convenient to have, it still can cause frustrations. Specifically, there may be times when the touch screen does not work properly.

There are various problems the iPhone touch screen could encounter. Although there are times when the screen does not work altogether, there are other situations when certain portions of the screen work and others don't. Of course, it is possible that the entire screen works, but is simply slow. Regardless of the exact problem, there are ways to troubleshoot the iPhone to diagnose the real problem.
  1. tep 1 Remove the wiping cloth that came in the small black envelope along with the iPhone. Wipe the smudges or dust off the screen with this cloth. It is best to wipe in a circular motion.
  2. Step 2 Do not put lotion on your hands and do not touch the screen if your hands are wet. Any kind of moisture can affect the way the touchscreen operates. Moisture sometimes slows the response time from the screen to the operating systemmag-glass_10x10.gif.
  3. Step 3 Check for a protective sheet on the screen. If there is some kind of a film or sheet on the touchscreen, the screen is likely not able to react to all of the sensitivities of the touch of a finger as it normally would.
  4. Step 4 If there is an application open and the touchscreen seems to not be working, simply close the application and retry it. A frozen application can usually be closed by pressing and holding on the circular button located just below the touchscreen.
  5. Step 5 Press and hold the home button as well as the reset button on the top of the phone to turn the iPhone off. A red slider will appear. Slide it to the right to turn the phone off. Press again on the "Reset" button on the top to turn the phone back on.
  6. Step 6 Completely reset the iPhone by holding the "Home" button and the "Reset" button for a full 10 seconds until the phone resets and the Apple logo appears on the phone.
    • If you are using the iPhone in cold weather and wearing gloves, the iPhone will not react to the gloves as it will to the touch of a finger.
    • If the touchscreen is dirty, do not run the iPhone under water. Doing this will likely ruin the phone, but even if it doesn't, it will possibly make the phone run slower.

Touchscreen dosnt work properly, i click on the menu button and it usually comes up contacts instaed, then i cant go back it just freezes and no buttons work, i have to switch it of to get back to normal...

are you working on a PDA?? try to reset your pda (at the back or close to the edges look for a a little hole... with something pointy push inside the hole gently)

you may also want to recalibrate your screen... if it's a pocket pc what you have go into start>settings>system and look for self test or screen (to align your screen).

I have a Palm TX. 3Years old. 6 Months ago had to calibrate Touchscreen every day. 2 months ago had to calibrate touch screen 2/3 times a day. Recently can't calibrate touch screen. Targets go into loop...

Same happened to my 3 month old TX. I just recharged it, and all was OK! Sounds strange at first, but in my hometown, it is very humid, so maybe it got some moist inside and that caused some variations in the power or battery or voltage... dunno, maybe you need some cleaning, or try to calibrate while plugged.

Hope to be useful!

Cracked touchscreen

There is no need to replace the whloe lcdscreen, you just need to replace the touch screen & panel which is a thin glasstop on the top of the lcdscreen. The whole lcdscreen is expensive, while a touch panel is much cheaper than that. And we could provide all kinds of PDA accessories. Here are some information for you In general, PDA LCD screen comprises the touch screen. LCD screen acts as a display of PDA or SmartPhone, and the likes, which cannot go without LCD screen. Touch screen is short for touch screen digitizer which seizes the upper part of PDA LCD screen. It is pressure-tactile, runs with gentle touch of stylus, finger and other tele-pointing function-possessed device. Different from LCD screen, the touch screen is an optional component for PDA, SmartPhone, and the likes. A PDA can function well even without the assembling of a touch screen for the availability of keyboard.

Screen not sensitive to touch

That\'s unfortunate because the phone is mostly touch-controlled.

Do you have a screen protector installed? Some people have said that the MING is one of the few touchscreen devices that doesn\'t work well w/ screen protectors. Try taking yours off if you\'re using one.

Getting past the 'Align Screen'

Had the same problem starting about 3 months ago with my Axim X5. Couldn't get the touchscreen to respond in order to input my password. However when I sync it to my computer I had better success at getting the touchscreen to work and respond. Tried the business card tip of sliding it between the touchscreen and metal cover/frame of the PDA and now it seems to work even better. Great tip. Hope it becomes the more permanent fix for getting my PDA touchscreen to respond. Mack
