I have an e750 and am trying to use a NAVMAN 1400 Compact Flash Type1 GPS Reciever. It says on the box that it has been tested on this pda so it should work. I have installed all software as required but when I insert the GPS module the e750 complains about an unrecognised card and asks me to assign a driver! Any ideas??
I had a similar problem earlier in the year with the Navman 1400 CF card and my Toshiba E740. Whilst I could get the PPC to recognise the CF card, I could not get any GPS signals recognised by either the Navma s/ware or GPS Utility. I even sent the whole setup to Navman UK - Horley for them to check out. They updated the BIOS and claimed it was working, but when it returned - no go! Numerous phone conversations and simultaneous tests showed that it was not working! Navman tried to persuade me to upgrade to their Bluetooth GPS for an extra few hundred quid ! No way, eventually I got my money back. It would seem that GPS CF cards do not work with Toshiba PPCs unless they have an external aerial connected to the CF card - it appears that interefence from the PPC processor swamps the satellite signals. I have tried to get info from Toshiba on this but no joy. I eventually bought a different GPS CF card which also has an external aerial and it works perfectly well with the external aerial attached, but no signals are received whern the aerial is disconnected.

It is not easy to say what the problem can be. In my opinion you should contact the producer of this GPS receiver and ask them what the problem is. If this has been tested the producer must be able to help the users.
