Hi I have a 6515e, I am unable to hear any sound come out of it unless I put my headfones on. If I test the ring and have it set to vibrate and ring it only vibrates. I have set the hardware profile to outdoor and set all notifications to sound but nothing is coming out.
Any help on this one?
Thanks

I don't know which windows you have but there kind of alike when it comes to test the sound card. In the control panel, open the sound applet and you can see if the sound card shows and then test it.
If you can hear a sound coming from the speakers then test the earphones. If OK then run anti-virus.
Hello, I think your Blackberry cell phone`s mouth piece or Mic is not working,it is a hardware problem go to the nearest mobile shop to figure it out. THANKS ! ! !
There is nothing as a separate microphone driver that you need to install generally , All you need to do is check microphone settings , as to whether they have been changed or the microphone has been muted accidentally.
Please follow the below steps :-
In control panel , open sound speech and audio devices
The click on the audio , tab where you would find two options , sound playback and sound recording.
Sound playback has to do with the sound that you hear , i.e. the headphone sound.
Sound microphone has to do with the sound that you record or transmit i.e. microphone.
Now you would have two options under sound recording sections, namely volume and advanced.
Open the volume and advanced section and check if it has been muted.
If it's muted , please unmute it and now you would be able to record your voice or chat using a microphone.
Check your system sound setting and make sure it is not set to digital out. Assuming head phones are good, make sure WDM sound driver and device manufacturer drivers are not conflicting.
Had this problem awhile back. I just had to re install the software program for my sound card. Then I had to turn on my speakers using my sound control pannel. Found out that my sound had been disconnected that way.
could simply just be the earphones... sometimes it just means ur heaphones are stuffed.
if its not the headphones either the player is stuffed or the audio format is something the X20 can't read
if its the player i'll be frank, you have no hope, there are no specialised stores that can fix it besides iriver international (they'll only take it if its still in warranty). you cant fix it yourself unless you have thorough knowledge of the circuit.
If its the sound format try changing it to mp3 or wma...
hope this helps!
Try the headfones through a sterio or something just to see if the headfone itself is not faulty if it is take it back to the shop and get a replacement. Else the socket for the plugin is faulty.
