Please check ur charger's hole (phone or charger). and - may touching:) thats y ur phone switching off:)
Have you tried with another working Battery? That should be your first option. If you know how to use a multimeter to test the battery, give it a try. Also with the multimeter, check the continuity from charging port to the charging connectors inside the battery compartment. Also check the input voltages on the charging connectors after a charger is plugged in to the phone. If nothing works, then it's possible that the charging ic or the power ic is dead. You'll need to take it to the service center.

2 - Don't bother as to what is displayed on your Nokia E71.
3 - Compose #pw+CODE+1#.
4 - The Nokia E71 would then display the message "SIM Restriction Off" and will be unlocked!
