When you initialize your Pocket PC, the factory default values are reset to the status as when you originally purchased the Pocket PC e330 or e310. NOTE: When you initialise your Pocket PC, all data stored in the memory is deleted. Your Pocket PC's initially installed programs are not deleted. Before initialization your Pocket PC, remove all storage cards. To initialize your Pocket PC, please follow the steps: Turn off the power Press the power button while pressing and holding the reset switch with the stylus. Then release the power button When a screen appears, release the reset switch When initialization is completed, the Welcome screen appears. Set up the system according to the screen as in the case of startup procedure.

My Toshiba Pocket PC e330 turns off immediately after disconnecting from AC power. Right after AC connection, everytime it needs re-setup starting with the screen alignment although the battery shows 100%...

ZOOM 707II and GFX707 All Initialize/Factory Recall The patches in the USER group can be returned to theoriginal condition at any time, even if you have changed them. The All Initialize function returns all patches inthe USER group to the default condition. Factory Recall can be used to reset only specificpatches in the USER group to the default settings. 1. Turn power to the 707II on while pressing the[STORE/EXECUTE] key. The indication "ALINIT" appears on thedisplay. - To perform All Initialize, proceed to step 2. - To perform Factory Recall, use the TYPE [down]/[up]keys and [down]/[up] foot switches to select the patch that you want to return to the factory default condition. (The bank andpatch number are shown on the[BANK/PATCH] indicator.) 2. Press the [STORE/EXECUTE] key once more. All Initialize or Factory Recall is carried out. If AllInitialize was carried out, the unit automatically returns to the play mode. The contents of patches stored by the user will belost when the defaults are restored. To cancel All Initialize/Factory Recall, press the[CANCEL/EXIT] key before step 2.

The All Initialize/Factory Recall function is a special function
that lets you reset the GFX-8 to the condition in which it was originally shipped. When All Initialize is performed, all settings of the unit including all user group patches are returned to the default condition. Factory Recall can be used to reset only specific user group patches group to the default settings.
1. Turn power to the GFX-8 on while keeping the STORE key depressed.The display shows "ALL-INIT".
• To perform All Initialize, Continue with the next step.
• To perform Factory Recall, Use the BANK UP/DOWN foot switch and foot switches 1 - 4 to select the patch (from a user group) that you want to return to the factory default condition.
2. Press the STORE key once more.
All Initialize or Factory Recall is carried out.
If All Initialize was carried out,
the unit automatically returns to the play mode.
Note that when All Initialize is executed,
the contents of all patches stored by the user will be overwritten (erased).
When wishing to cancel All Initialize/Factory Recall,
press the EDIT/CANCEL key before step 2.

NOTE: When you initialise your Pocket PC, all data stored in the memory is deleted. Personal programs and data are permanently deleted from your Pocket PC’s. The factory pre-installed operating system Pocket PC 2002 remains intact. Before initialization your Pocket PC, remove all storage cards. To initialize your Pocket PC, please follow these steps: Turn off the power to the unit. Then press the power button while pressing and holding the reset switch with the stylus. Release the power button. When a screen appears, release the reset switch When initialization is completed, the "Welcome Screen" will appear. Set up the system according to the startup procedure as indicated by the on screen instructions.

My PC not turn on

The Toshiba Pocket PC e330 is shipped with an Enabled security feature, which switches off the batteries. In order to be able to turn on the unit, the Battery Switch must be in a battery "Supply" position. Please check if the Battery Switch is in a Stop position or Supply position. The Battery Switch can be found on the lower left edge of the unit, next to the "DC-In Socket". Please see the below diagram The Battery Switch supplies or stops power to the Pocket PC. When using the Pocket PC for the first time, slide this switch to the left with the stylus pen. If you have further questions, please refer to the Instruction Manual page 2-3 (20 of 105).

Reset my Pocket PC

A Reset of your Pocket PC is equivalent to "Restart" of a desktop computer. Carry out the Reset only in such unusual cases as when a button or tapping the screen does not respond. When your Pocket PC is reset, no data will be deleted. All stored information like Addresses, Contacts, Tasks or Programs are still stored in the Pocket PC memory. To Reset the Pocket PC, the power must be on. Then press the Reset switch with the stylus, then release. Your Pocket PC should function properly thereafter. If the functions cannot be restored, even after the reset button is pressed, Initialise your Pocket PC (refer to the FAQ article: How can I initialise my Pocket PC (Factory Reset).

PDA e310, e330 or e740 together with Windows NT 4.0

The Toshiba Pocket PC's e310, e330 and e740 are designed to work together with Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 98SE, Millennium, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Microsoft Windows NT4.0 is an older operating system, which does not work together with the Toshiba Pocket PC's e310,e330 and e740. Technical background: The Toshiba Pocket PC's have a USB and a Infrared interface to communicate with a Computer. Unfortunately, Microsoft Windows NT4.0 does not support USB nor Infrared. Windows NT supports a serial connection, but the serial interface is not available for the Pocket PC's e310,e330 and e740. Note: There is the possibility to synchronize a PDA over Network or Modem but the ActiveSync Software, which is responsible for the synchronization, will need a "first sync" to establish a "partnership" with the PDA. This "first sync" can only be done via USB.
