Question about Computers & Internet
I would start by going to the HP site, www.hp.com, and downloading the newest driver for your video card. It will be fairly simple. Look under Software and Driver Updates and go through the questions that identify which model you have and it will give you a list of Driver updates for the devices on your computer. Find the newest one, by date it shows, for you video controller and download it. It will show you instructions for installing the driver. This process will work for the operating system that originally came with your computer. If you have upgraded the Operating system you may get lucky if HP supports the new Operating system on that model. If you have changed the Operating system, say upgraded from Vista to Windows 7, and HP doesn't support the operating system on that model computer there is still a chance you can find a driver on the site but it gets a lot more difficult. If Live Chat is available choose that and explain that you upgraded to the new operating system and need to locate a driver for the video controller and if a compatible driver is available from another model they can provide you with a link to it. If you haven't changed to Operating system and installing the driver you download doesn't work you may have to uninstall the device from device manager and let the computer go through the detection process in order to get the driver installed correctly.
