Question about Palm Treo 650 Handheld
Simple fixed for corrupted Date Book (at least it worked for me). I figure out a simple fix for the corrupted my Date Book sync error. Set the data/time to the maximum limits (12/31/31) in preferences. Open Calendar. View that day. Options. Purge. Delete events older then 1 week. Reset the data/time to the maximum limits (12/13/31) in preferences. Hotsync – (Desktop Calendar overwrites handheld). Hotsync again to make sure you don’t get the error (Synchronize the files). =============================== Outlook Calendar The attempt to open the database failed. Date Book application database is not found. Please invoke the Date Book application on the handheld once and re-synchronize. SOURCE: How Do I hotsync w/Outlook
what software did you download for your outlook conduits? the installation cd already has the outlook conduits you need.. you just have to install palm desktop first then you'll be given options whether to sync your handheld with palm desktop or with outlook. choose sync with outlook

Click on the hotsync icon in your system tray and then click "custom". That will bring up the list of things you are configured to sync with (conduits). For each of the ones you have problems with, click that conduit and then make sure it's set to sync the way you want...desktop overrides, handheld overrides, syncronize, etc. Potentially you have some of them selected as "do nothing". What shows up when I click custom from hotsync are the following Outlook Conduits: Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Memos. If you don't have those showing up, you need to update your Outlook conduits on your PC. If you have them, click to select the problem conduit, then click "change" and select what you want to have happen.

I was having the same problem, and I used Detect and Repair in Outlook. Now all is working fine. You will need the original CD that you installed from. Hope this helps as none of the other things that I saw on any sites did until I tried this.

OLERR errors in HOTSync >> first thing you can do is to update the Outlook conduits Go to kb.palm.com and search for Solution ID: 31167 You can also copy this URL: http://kb.palm.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=86,E=0000000000244942999,K=4010,Sxi=10,useTemplate=Case.tem,CASE=31167 Sync again and check the HotSync log. Hopefully you will not get errors again. Go to second section of the article: "Install the Outlook Conduits for Palm Update" and follow the link to the "Outlook Conduits for Palm Update v1.02" page. Follow the instructions to download and install OutlookConduitUpdater.zip

This is what I did to fix that error:
Hard-reset your Palm to erase all data (that usually involves pushing the small "reset" button on the back, then pressing the "power on" button until the device boots, and then pressing "up" to confirm the hard-reset)
After that, sync your palm. The sync software will ask if you want to use your existing profile or create a new one. Create a new one. Then the program will offer to sync your Outlook profile with your Palm. Click on "ok", and a message asking you to accept to sync your Outlook data with more than one profile will pop-up. Click on OK, again... and that's it!
