Corrupt Date Book Fixed

Simple fixed for corrupted Date Book (at least it worked for me). I figure out a simple fix for the corrupted my Date Book sync error. Set the data/time to the maximum limits (12/31/31) in preferences. Open Calendar. View that day. Options. Purge. Delete events older then 1 week. Reset the data/time to the maximum limits (12/13/31) in preferences. Hotsync – (Desktop Calendar overwrites handheld). Hotsync again to make sure you don’t get the error (Synchronize the files). =============================== Outlook Calendar The attempt to open the database failed. Date Book application database is not found. Please invoke the Date Book application on the handheld once and re-synchronize. SOURCE: MS Outlook syncs calendar, notes but not contacts

Click on the hotsync icon in your system tray and then click "custom". That will bring up the list of things you are configured to sync with (conduits). For each of the ones you have problems with, click that conduit and then make sure it's set to sync the way you want...desktop overrides, handheld overrides, syncronize, etc. Potentially you have some of them selected as "do nothing". What shows up when I click custom from hotsync are the following Outlook Conduits: Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Memos. If you don't have those showing up, you need to update your Outlook conduits on your PC. If you have them, click to select the problem conduit, then click "change" and select what you want to have happen.

SOURCE: OLERR messages, however all of mine fail to sync: Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Notes. Tried web troubleshooter to no avail. Can anyone please shed some light on this issue??? Thanks

I was having the same problem, and I used Detect and Repair in Outlook. Now all is working fine. You will need the original CD that you installed from. Hope this helps as none of the other things that I saw on any sites did until I tried this.

SOURCE: Sync fails with "too many open databases"

This is what I did to fix that error:

Hard-reset your Palm to erase all data (that usually involves pushing the small "reset" button on the back, then pressing the "power on" button until the device boots, and then pressing "up" to confirm the hard-reset)

After that, sync your palm. The sync software will ask if you want to use your existing profile or create a new one. Create a new one. Then the program will offer to sync your Outlook profile with your Palm. Click on "ok", and a message asking you to accept to sync your Outlook data with more than one profile will pop-up. Click on OK, again... and that's it!

My computer is no longer reading SD cards. I have Windows Vista. Can this be easily fixed? Thanks

If it doesn't show up at all under "Computer" go into "Disk Management" Right click Computer > Manage > DIsk Management.
If it is missing in here then the card is bad. It it shows up here, initialize it if it asks to, otherwise right click the card and add new Simple Volume.

If you see it under "Computer" and when you try to traverse it and it asks to format disk. Format it. This happens when the MFT record on the SD card is corrupt and formatting it will fix it.

How to get fix Certificate error on windows computer while using the browser

Well guys Certificate error is one of the issue that we face on the windows computer while using the browser and this can be due to various reason
#Browser Hijack
#System Infection
#Corrupt certificate loaded on the browser
#windows time service not working properly

while dealing with such a problem all you need to figure out is that weather the certificate error is a genuine browser error or a face error generated by the malware or spyware

Now the question lies here is how to judge weather it a genuine error of fake alert and the answer is quite simple

Yes,Observe and see weather the alert at the browser more commonly Internet explorer is generated in a way to inform you to get a security product and generaly it would have an option like "Click here to protect your computer" or "continue unprotected"...if this is the case then definitely your browser is hijacked and it requires a cleanup use some good cleanup utility and manual troubleshooting to reset the browser and disable the addons

If you are getting a certificate error without any option to continue then its a genuine error and that is related to your Browser SSL and Security certificate check the internet option and remove if there are any corrupt Certificate

If this does not resolve you problem...then there is a simple solution.....!!!

Guess what........!!!!

Yes,Your system clock .
Adjust the system **** with the correct time and date and thats it your are all set to roll.....!!!

I cant read any dvd

My DVD drives would not read DVD's. I downloaded Microsoft Fix It Center software and fixed Windows media player. I had corrupt files that would not let my drives read DVD's. After the corrupt files were fixed my drives work just fine.

I connected my ipod to the laptop which then carried out the sync, IT then popped up saying i had an update due 5.2 now which i carried out, after the system shut down and restarted, every time i connect...

Sounds like the update was corrupted or had corrupted files.

Boot your system to Safe Mode (press F8 repeatedly). Go to System Restore and choose a date when your system worked OK. Note: with System Restore, all your updates will roll back to that date.

Hope this resolves your problem.

The computer will boot to the first gray screen then says ''windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt /windows/system32/config/system this is an asus eee pc 1201hab net book...

Hello there!

This pc is obviously losted one of main system 32 components, in order to fix that you can try with windows repair service, boot up you windows cd/dvd select repair windows, if this session works then you have fixed your problem, othervise, unfortunately you need to reinstall new fresh copy of windows.

Please rate my solutions! =)

If we talk about Runtime error 1618, it might be due to corrupt registry files. To be really honest with you there would be 3 ways to fix this :-

1. Reinstall the Windows ( which is an odd option )

2. Add the corrupt file to the Windows folder - Would take a lot of research to find a single file on the outer world and then adding that.

3. Purchase a software that would this registry issue. For example :-

4. Restore Windows - I would prefer this. Simple restore and this would be easily fixed.

Note - You would lose your data that you have on the Hard Disk. Save important files on Flash drive or CD.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using " Fixya" and Have a wonderful day!!

Data Transfer Failed

drop-down-icon-small-empty-arrow._v13355991_.gifNathan Price says: I had the same download problem, and after fiddling with the pedometer for a couple of hours I figured out the basis of the problem and was able to fix it. Being a software engineer, I figured that since it copies each day's data to memory once the clock clicks over to 12 AM, there must have been one day somewhere that had corrupt data. The download would always reach a certain percentage and then fail and as more days were saved, the percentage went up slowly. Unfortunately, Omron does not provide a mechanism to clear the internal memory inside the pedometer, which it really needs to do. The reset button on the back does NOT do this. The software on the computer has nothing to do with this problem. It is completely internal to the pedometer itself. In any case, to fix the problem, I just started setting the clock to 11:59 PM, waiting a minute and doing this quite a few times until the corrupt day's data was pushed out of memory. It holds 42 days, so eventually the data will be erased. Well, it fixed the problem! Of course, when the download finally worked the data was all screwed up. Then I just exported all the data to CSV, opened it up in a text editor and fixed the screwed up days, then re-imported the CSV file using the software.

Unfortunately, this whole process takes patience and a good knowledge of computers and software. Shame on Omron for not making it more user-friendly and providing a button to clear the memory or enabling the software to skip over and delete corrupt data. But hey, that's what you get for $30, software developed in India.

Your offer

try and install the newest service pack, that will replace most of the windows files. if that doesn't work, you can use the extract command in the windows command console to extract the needed files from the windows cabinet files (*.cab) off the windows installation cd.

TV will not turn on

The F25261TX3 is a 25 inch set that uses the CTC185 series chassis. The 2 most common causes for the set not turning on are a corrupt EPROM and a bad regulator or resistor in the main power supply. This is also the chassis notorious for cracks on the shields around the tuner and microprocessor which causses the EPROM to go corrupt. These are relatively easy and simple things to correct, but the set should be serviced and modified by a qualified tech familiar with that RCA chassis.
