My palm pixie won't let me save contacts. Every time I finishing filling out the name & phone number & press done it keeps saying an error has occurred saving this contact. How do I fix this??

According to this Palmcentral blog:
http://forums.precentral.net/palm-pre/235016-contact-will-not-save.html
It could be because of a patch you have installed from Preware. If you have downloaded patches from preware, you'll need to run the emergency recovery program that came with it.
Also try
(1) Launched Contacts.(2) tapped the Contacts tab on top left corner.
(3) tapped "Preferences"
(4) noted my accounts - Palm Profile, Facebook and Google.
(5) looked at my "default account" and noticed that it was Google and not Palm Profile.
(6) Changed the default profile back to Palm Profile.
(7) back-swiped.

ERROR: 00001013 - calander sync.Options When I sync my palm the date book is not synced (it used to but stopped). All other data is transffered well. It is Palm m515, Windows XP Pro ERROR:...

You can use third-party synchronization software (IntelliSync, iSync, Missing Sync, etc.), contact the third-party developer for assistance.

Good luck.

When i touch the office doc on screen, pda goes blank, orange palm logo comes up, then changes to black palm logo, unit restarts again. works otherwise.

It sounds like a file error occurred when you installed the software. My suggestion would be to remove the software and try a reinstallation. If that doesn't work you may need to visit their website for any corrections or updates.

Hot sync

http://kb.palm.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,kb=PalmSupportKB,t=ooccase,case=obj(2630)

With your Palm Zire 21 connected to your pc, go to the link above and run through the Palm HotSync troubleshooting dialog to see if any results come up that will solve your issue.

HotSync issues are unfortunately difficult to pinpoint and often will require a software update or patch to resolve issues.

Good luck with it!

Error 1316 - installation failure

Have you uninstalled the previous version of Palm Desktop?

Do you have more than 1 profile on your computer? Sometimes multiple profiles can make things difficult is software is installed logged in as one and then you try to install/uninstall as another profile.

Are you installing Palm desktop from a disk?

Try this file from palms site -

Cannot hoysync with outlook 2003

After installing, reinstalling, deleting, hard resets, hitting head against wall... I tried installing the Pocket Mirror conduit as a last ditch effort. An error message popped up saying it could not find the mapi32.dll file. I looked at another PC, located that file in the windows32 directory, copied it to my PC, and I was able to hotsync with Outlook. To test this, I uninstalled the Pocket Mirror and Palm desktop SW, then deleted the mapi32.dll. Installed the Palm 4.1.4 sw, outlook 101 update, plus the conduit update, had same error messages. Added the mapi32.dll to the windows32 directory - was able to successfully sync with Outlook!

Why does pocket mirror trawl through all items when synchronising a calendar

The HotSync software on the Mac was never designed to cope with the scenario where you synch with a PC elsewhere. It assumes that you are performing a recovery synchronization when it sees that the handheld synched elsewhere. The assumption with the Palm OS was always that you synched one computer to one PDA. With more propsperous times, the software has not yet evolved at Palm Source (not part of Palm Inc any longer.) With regards to PocketMirror, there is a setting to allow you to synch to more than one PC. The setting is buried deep in the PocketMirror settings for each of the four conduits. The setting allows PocketMirror to see more than one PC as your route to an Exchange server.
