I have a speed queen electric dryer mod AES68AWF. i was in a hurry&turned the timer knob while it was running. it sparked a little & then went off. can it be fixed?

Should not have hurt anything by doing this as long as knob was turned clockwise while doing so. Did it spark around the knob itself. Stan

Dryer wont heat where is the fuse? speed queen

I do not believe it is a fuse, the dryer has a heater coil very much like a space heater contained in an air box inside of the dryer. If this heater coil breaks or burns into, then no heat. My 30 year old dryer has had two That I had to replace over the years. in order to get to this coil, youhave to take the back off.

Dryer will not heat up Does run

It's probably the thermostats that are normally attatched to the element or it could be the element itself. They are nprmally placed in the rear of the appliance.

The thermostats will only cost a few pounds.

I have a Kenmore 90 Series Dryer. I am not getting

One of you thermal switches is bad. Unplug, open back of dryer, check with tester every switch with two wires attached, one to each side. They are round (quarter size) and some are 1/4" by 2". One of these are bad, causing dryer not to heat up.
