Go into the tv menu and look for "convergence" this is a setup issue that can sync your colors. Projection tv's have 3 projectors inside, each a different color, if they get out og sync it can cause a blue or red ghost. In your tv menu you can look for noise reduction and turn it on also scan velocity modulation turn that on as well. These can all be found in the menu under picture or setup.
The tv needs degaussing (demagnetizing) unplugg the set tonight and then plug it and turn it on in the morning. You should hear a a "bonk" noise when the set is first turned on after being cold- this is the internal degausse circuit working and it should fix your problem if you don't hear the "bonk" sound or it does not fix your problem call arepair shop to have the degausse your set and possibly fix the internal degausse circuit.
The foldover is because of a bad capacitor in the vertical circuit. Given the "new" sympotom of a dead set, I would suspect that the vertical IC has failed. This should be a relatively simple repair for a TV shop. If you wish to attempt a repair of this yourself, update this and confirm your model number and I'll post more details and instructions.
does your tv make noise the bearing usually go out on those color wheel sets so do the lamps on that model if you are confident go for a repair at home here is a shortcut http://www.jangro.com/a/2006/07/24/samsung-dlp-replace-color-wheel/ if this is the year click the link above
This is bad convergence. Try self focus and if still not ok is hardware problem. The STK are leaked and need to be replaced. It's not easy, you have to remove the all deflection board and for sure you'll have some resistors to replace too. I sugest you to call a tech, but first try the self focus.
