Mitsubishi 65 medallion hdtv 1080

Today my power to my home has been going off and on alot. I noticed about an hour after the power has been on that the green light (power/timer) will not stop blinking. I have hit the reset a few times holding it in for 20 seconds and its still blinking nonstop. So what could be going on with it?

same thing here, it has done this before when the power goes off but eventually come back on, but this time it looks like it isn't. I read on another blog that it has something to do with the power supply and it is a common problem that can be fixed by a service provider

i had this problem a few years back and had the power supply fixed. I think the tech took it to his office and soldered something on it or replaced part of the power supply. The over all cost with labor was 500 bucks. My wife one this TV and everyone of her co-workers who won it also had the same problem. I do believe a lot of them trashed the TV. Mine just started to do this again. So I opened the back up after unplugging the unit. I carefully vacuumed the dust and with canned air you can probably do the same. I used a light paint brush, canned air and a vacuum. I didn't use all at the same time but did use the brush and vacuum to clean all the boards in back. I haven't had it go out since so this maybe an issue that causes the power supply to give up if it keeps cycling. Try resetting you TV the deal is on the front use a paper clip and maybe clean the dust out. Make sure to unplug. If you are not sure you want to do that a TV repair guy can do it for you. I also wiped down the 3 lenses in the unit and seem to have a brighter clear picture. I am currenty having an issue when it starts up. It is acting like it needs to warm up for about 20-30 seconds before the picture stops shaking vertically . So if you know about this issue let me know.

I need to be able to connect DVD player to output 3 on Mitsubishi Medallion hdtv 1080 we can't seem to get it to work

It needs to be input if you want to display some on the TV from the DVD player. HDMI is the easiest as it's both audio and video.

Have a Mitsubishi medallion 65 in got a code 2-3 how do i fix this or is it worth it?

These Medallions have some of the worst problems caused by wiring faults. They over heat and go into sleep mode. Try getting a can of compressed air and cleaning out the dust.

Fisrt try resoldering your Boards then Ck pico fuses they are green or yellow look like resistors but are fuses 5amps or 6amps also you may need to replace Both of your STK ICs they are Big Black ICs will have Part number on them example STK392-570 Call Mats For these 1-800-628-1118 Go by number on your STKs

Misubishi Medallion 1080

If this is a ws-65411: it sounds like one of the two STK-392-110 convergence IC's is bad; you need to have both replaced at the same time; I do this type of repair(done hundreds of them) and most can be done right in your home.

The two ic's can be purchased on Ebay for about 12 dollars plus shipping.

This is the slow time of year for TV repair shops--find someone in your area who knows how to do this kind of repair---here shops charge 3-4 hundred but I charge 200-250 total depending on brand of set.

Shop around and if they insist on "taking set to shop" keep looking---any good tech can do this repair in your home---MAKE SURE HE CHANGES BOTH of the IC's!

I do this here for free so if this has been helpful give me a vote here.
