Question about HEWLETT-PACKARD Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I assume the 2760's screen rotation works the same as the 2740. If so, I ask how does one rotate the screen? I can get myself into OneNote and can write successfully with the pen, but I cannot change the orientation of the display. I know that I saw the display rotated on one occasion, but I don't know what got me there. Pressing the button on the back of the machine does nothing, and the Control Panel is of no help because I don't know what the HP default sequence is. And the display never changes anyway.

Screen will not rotate

Check your configuration, go to settings, and search for a screen/display option, there you can change an option of auto rotation, every android and apple device has it i believe.

The plastic gear that rotate the bobin housing rotation was broken, how can I order it that part(hobby 541), I don,t know that part name.

I'd call it a bobbin drive gear, but your best bet is to look for a parts list for your machine. These usually have diagrams and tables that give the manufacturer's part numbers.

You can do it yourself if competent at diy but you need to slide the belt over the drum by releasing one end of the drum.

Why does the screen keep rolling in circles

I'm assuming it rotates 90 degrees at each 'roll'? Try cleaning the keyboard. Usually a combination of CTRL and another key is the shortcut for rotating displays, and some of your keys might be sticking.

I want to rotate the screen on my HTC touch VIVA, is there any software or any settings i can change, if software where do i find it

Since I couldn't find it anywhere else I just made it myself tongue.gif

My Hermes allows me to rotate the screen using a hardware button assignment or using the HTC Home plugin. Using a 'touchflo'-like application -with no hardware button to spare- it was annoying going back to my today-screen to rotate the screen.

It turned out the Compact Framework 2.0 has this nice class which would do the trick: Microsoft.WindowsCE.Forms.SystemSettings.ScreenOri entation
So I "wrote" exactly 10 lines of code (including class/function def) to rotate my screen.

Anyone interested: download and install the cab.

+ Does not remain in memory: rotates the screen and exits
+ Now you can create a shortcut to rotate the screen
+ tested on a Hermes (TyTN)

- Requires Compact Framework 2.0 (should be default for Windows Mobile 6.0)
- CF is a huge overhead when only needed for this program, but I'm to lazy to go for the API call (ChangeDisplaySettingsEx)
- No settings: rotates 90 degrees counter clockwise (or 90 degrees clockwise with the Rotate Screen CW cab) -on my TyTN it matches the screen setting when the keyboard slides out-
- Icon is but-ugly wink.gif
- Not tested on other hardware, but I expect the worst thing that could happen is a frozen device which will work nicely after a soft-reset. My expectation is based on the fact it's a CF 'call' and not an API call, therefore it does not write to memory locations directly.

Use 'as is'.
I might be tempted to add 'settings' if people actually would use the program and have requests...
When installed on other devices: a message would be appreciated (even if is doesn't work)

Can anyone tell me on where can i find the product key for Microsoft Office Student and Home version.and it ask for product key when i open it. then it says modification is locked

The product key is on the plastic case that Microsoft Office Student and Home came in, but not in an obvious position. The case is a strange construction. If you hold it with the front facing you, the inside rotates to your right, After you open it, turn it around. On the backside of the part that rotated is a sticker that contains the product key and a bar code that I assume is the same thing.
