My Mitsubishi VS 50703 is fed from a DVR into input Ant A. I get sound, but no picture, until I press the 'menu' button on the TV remote; then the picture appears in the PIP window for a few minutes while the 'menu' is on the screen. I want to get the picture to show up on the Main screen when the 'Menu' is not up.

Try resoldering the vertica IC. Very common problem. When vertical drops out the CRTs go into blanking ( shutdown no picture) but the menu and on screen displays will still work. Resoldering the IC will usually solve the issue.
