I have 2 Dennon Dn-S 1000's one of them wont read any cd's (all I get is a "Disk Error" on display) The other Dennon wont read or eject the cd thats in there. Can you please help?

The lazer is not reading the disc, It is shot.

it means your hard disk is not detected by system, check all connections of hard disk, if problem remains check with another working hard disk

The disk read error message appears when the motherboard can't read what is in the hard disk and use it to launch the Windows boot process.
It means that the hard disk is dead and everything on it is lost, including the recovery partition that new laptops use instead of the recovery disks. You will have to replace the hard disk (a quite complicated job that only an experienced person should do) then order a recovery disk from here

The Denon DN-C680 gives ERROR 105 on the display. Why?

first off, if machine is set to dual, then its trying to record from the other disc side. You need to have it set to your coax input. Also if your trying to copy a disc, not all of them allow that option. If this doesnt help, go to MusiciansBuy.com. Can get help with any audio componants there

if this is a CD that gets plenty of play, (take a dry paper towel, going in one direction in a circular motion wipe the CD)

Cd drawer and laser assembly are belt driven. Belt needs to be replaced

Try to change the laser unitKSS-240A (opticals). In most cases problem solved. The "zik-zik" sound is made by the motors in the unit as the laser tries to read the CD.
Caution, after installing the new laserunit remove the short circuits on the laserunit itself. This it put there just to protect the laser from static energie faulure during repair.
